there's a fox >>here<< that's apparently considered a rat by the archive. I see they're all in the same group/litter, but it's not the kind of pet I'm collecting—rats. it ruins the stats and it's quite unfortunate to have to trade for an extremely uncommon fox to have a full rat collection. :<

It just shows up on the page because like you said it is in a same litter group. However, it is not being counted as a rat and will not impact the rat archive completion stats.

If you just completed this part of your collection, you may have to turn the "show completed months" category off and on again and/or wait a little while for it to update - it doesn't always update immediately. I've double checked and that fox is not tagged as a rat, so you should not need to collect it.

This usually takes a little while to update. I assume (but I could be wrong) it's because Nick has to do this update rather than Solloby.

For anyone who doesn't know, for now you can access the 2026 tab from the archive itself if you go to any other year ^^

I don't know if I would need to make a suggestion for this, but would it be possible to get new years items under their own tab in Holidays/events? It seems really weird It's the only event we have consistently that doesn't have its own tab.
