i’m very relieved to know that the moderators are willing to listen to what we have to say. i can only imagine how much this site must take out of you guys sometimes, especially since you’re volunteering and not receiving a salary lol.
however, i do still have a few questions that my curiosity has further fuelled. i’ll simply quote my previous message for convenience since i’m currently on mobile:

my own oekaki post, which was locked earlier this afternoon. it contains colored, shaded doodles with a bit of text, and absolutely no artwork beneath the cover. as far as i'm aware, this drawing did not violate any site rules, so i'm honestly dumbfounded. i would be lying if i said that i was not shocked when i discovered that it had been locked. i also posted a completely separate
drawing today that was
deleted altogether. i received no message from a staff member saying why this happened. i would understand a nsfw drawing being taken down (obviously), but this? really?
apologies if i am coming off as disrespectful in any way, shape, or form. i would just genuinely like to know why a) my thread was locked, and b) my drawing was deleted. if i legitimately did something wrong, it would help me to know so that i can improve in the future. thank you!

Ah, sorry if I ask too many questions, but there is a point that's a little hard for me to understand. Some have mentioned that just an arrow or sketch down would be against the rules, but a well-drawn cover should be fine. This sort of contradicts the main point of many users don't or cannot use Oekaki due to certain circumstances or such.
What is the point of allowing this but not that if the original issue wouldn't be solved by it, rather than make it more convenient for people who CAN use Oekaki?
Again, no intention to be rude or come off the wrong way.

Sorry really late (I was reading posts) but.. If memory serves correctly, it was always a rule. We discussed it thoroughly back in the day when it came up. It just wasn't explicitly stated until then because it wasn't happening often enough to catch staff attention. The rule was added in officially for transparency when we noticed that it was becoming a trend in the adoptable forums to use covers and we had to start moderating them more.
im so sorry if this causes any disrespect i’m just genuinely puzzled,,,
if it’s always been a rule, then why on a few occasions you went against that rule, knowing full well that it was a thing??
If you're referring to my drawings that were linked earlier, they pre-date my hiring. I became a moderator in August of 2015. ^^

Are they no longer able to post to forums or is it just in protest?
They are for sure still bale to post! It's either done in protest or in a joking way
