Pound lag getting worse?

I didn't even open the pound, I was on the site elsewhere and it started lagging like crazy! I figured the pound had opened, went there, and was correct

it was really bad for me as well, i kept getting messages saying there was an issue adopting a pet i tried to get even tho after it reloaded it didnt say it was taken? prob just cant handle the number of ppl at once on the page

Refreshing at 12 seconds, froze, dropped to 7, froze, dropped to 3, then open. No images loaded this time around, so I just grabbed what was marked with a WL star and was able to adopt (long lag to show the confirmation screen). Still better than the past week, but this AM was better.

struggled to even get a very common, had to tab out because it lagged so much that I didn't want to just sit there and wait </3 im happy for the increase in pets but the lag really dissuades me from attempting anything to do with pound

Thank you pound lag, I didn't know the pound was opening but I was getting my egg and saw how laggy the site was and said "ah it must be the pound!!"

This happened to me before LOL the one time I appreciated the lag xD

I feel like this update is such bad timing, I can see all of the older pets trickling in on refreshes but the lag + amount of people online is too crazy to get any of them. I wish the amount of pets in the pound was increased for when there's an event going on, or maybe just relative to average player counts over a period of time, so that we're not having the issue of it closing in only a couple of minutes lol

EDIT: Oh I just noticed people are saying it was increased :O I'm glad!!

I've had a 10+ second load too! Even when I clicked a pet to adopt, only to get an error page or its been adopted by someone else but unfortunately pets keep getting snatched like there's no lag.. weird...

same!! i was sitting there waiting for it to open, refreshed and then it had the longest lag ever just to load to all the first page pets already taken... its super frustrating. idk if its emphasized by the event, or bc im on mobile, or what, but its v unfortunate.

It was perhaps the laggiest Pound I've witnessed so far but because of way bigger pet pool and new randomization algorithm I've managed to get a very rare older Store pet still.

I noticed it too. Thankfully I was still able to snag a rare this time around, but it took forever to load that first page. I was almost for sure everything was going to be gone

There was like 2,300 + players on at the same time, but I don't know if it had anything to do with that. Not sure how the site deals with a bunch of players online at the same time anymore
