Ah that would make a lot of sense I wasn't aware of that. I just tested and confirmed this so that's the answer. I'll add this to the front page.

Re: Oekaki/Java problems & solutions/asking mod.

hi, I tried to do work on my saved painting, i can't get my settings for chibi paint to work. no one replied, so i have to ask the mod.my windows 7 will only take firefox or chrome; either none of those browsers works, or there's a reason chibi paint won't work? please tell me, what i'm doing wrong---i can;t KEEP CHIBI PAINT, it only switches to chicken paint which keeps crashing with my firefox. also, chrome is no better.

i am sorry, i just not good at technical things. chibi paint has always been excellent. and with windows 7 i can't use chickenpaint. it just keeps crashing; would internet explorer probably work better here? can you please help me, moderator? thank you very much. I think this is a very nice place. sometimes changes in tech can be hard. A lot of windows users have been told, to stick on windows 7 as long as they can, because no. 8 is not good, at the very least, slow. very slow.---and the story goes that windows 10 will be,or is being, forced into the updates of windows 8.--if you have 8, no. ten is being forced into your system without your permission.

THANK YOU for any help. this is such a nice place i hate to have non--functioning software, so i have to leave. without finding out what is wrong. ----tara

So, wait, if JTablet doesn't work for Windows, and all I have is Windows, how can I use pen sensitivity? :P

You can try switching to Chicken paint and see if it works in your browser.

You can change your Oekaki settings here: http://www.chickensmoothie.com/oekaki/settings.php

It seems to be working (I'm not getting sharp lines or edges, but I'm not sure how this works so eh), thanks so much! :D

“I can't find my saved drawings!"

Don't worry they were just moved. When you are selecting a canvas size you can find them underneath those selections. Just click on one of them to start drawing.

"But what about the "Based on __" link? Will my drawing still appear under the original, even though I'm going in that way?

Don't worry about this. No matter where you post your drawing or how you start it, it's going to end up linking to the original just as it would if you had not taken a break from editing, and it will appear under the original drawing in the "colored in versions" list, with only one exception, explained below. Do not fret, just post it, it will be okay!

The one exception to this issue is if a "cover" separating finished drawings from the original (ie: "My Entries" in a contest) is deleted after colored-in versions (such as finished entries) have been made. In this example, the drawing will link to the original, but will not appear in the list of edited versions below the original. Staff can fix this pretty easily, simply report the thread or send in a help ticket, and specify where it needs to link up.

The current download link for the JTablet app doesn't work after I click the Windows option. And after reading the most recent posts I have updated to Chicken Paint and it still didn't work. Is there another option to get pen pressure to work for oekaki?
Please send help :c

Firefox works with Chicken Paint & pen pressure <3
