i tried to download the mac osx version of jtablet provided, but the page always 404's me. is there any way i can fix this? i would love to be able to use pen pressure.

(i have a 13" macbook air and a mini wacom one tablet. i also use google chrome and chickenpaint. i tried chibipaint on safari but it is only slower and also doesn't work)

thank you so much!!!

It states on the first page (the first question) that the official plug-in won't work for recent versions of Mac OX, but you can use this version of JTABLET here that the lovely Nick provided

that is the version i was referring to that 404's on me. i apologize if i wasn't clear enough. i did read the FAQ thoroughly before commenting

Have you tried switching to Chicken Paint? You don't need to use J Tablet for it.

i've tried both chibipaint 2.0 and chickenpaint and neither work for me. if there isn't a solution i understand, my computer might just be weird or something.

Try again! Sometimes it takes a while before the Oekaki will save, especially if you have a lot of layers. If you keep having issues, try to use a cable to connect to the internet. The direct connection will usually allow you to save. If nothing seems to be working, restart your router if possible.

Alright. I've tried all of these, and it's still not working. Help?

Are you getting a specific error message or is it just frozen?

Did you try removing java then re-installing or updating it?

You have a mac right? Try using chicken paint on safari if you haven't already. That has been shown to work well for mac users like myself.

Try going to Help->Tablet Support from an open drawing and make the appropriate adjustments there.

I used to have this problem with Chibipaint (because I don't regularly update my Chome tbh,) but that could be resolved with me fiddling with some tablet settings.
But now even that doesn't work anymore, so I can't draw on Oekaki at all, because I can't switch back to Chibipaint.
Any suggestions?

I do not have a solution for the lagginess, but you could try to turn up the smoothness of your brush settings.

Brush setting smoothness (both in Oekaki and general tablet ones) don't work in resolving the problem.
It's not the smoothness that's the problem anyways lmao.
Tried Firefox as well; that doesn't work either.

hey there i have a couple questions! I am currently using a mac with the safari browser and chickenpaint and wish to use pen pressure. I have both java and the version of jtablet that is provided. However, when I go to help and then tablet support it says I do not have the plug-in installed. Am I using the incorrect plug in? Thanks for any answer.
