Oekaki/Java problems & solutions

Okay so I have a Intuos drawing tablet by Wacom and I downloaded the jtablet thing that is supposed to let you draw with the tablet on oekaki, but when I go on Oekaki, it does not let me draw with the tablet. I then went back to the link for the jtablet site and clicked the button that allows you to test out the applet. The only problem is that I keep getting this message that says "Application Blocked by Java Security" which is preventing me from drawing with my new tablet. It would be great if someone could please help me.

Are you using the new ChickenPaint? In ChickenPaint, hit Help -> Tablet Support for instructions on getting your tablet working.

I feel like this is a really dumb question to ask, but how do I download the new ChickenPaint?

Ahh I keep having this problem where my brushstrokes would lag/not move, and then suddenly move quickly and basically make a straight line.

I used to have this problem with Chibipaint (because I don't regularly update my Chome tbh,) but that could be resolved with me fiddling with some tablet settings.
But now even that doesn't work anymore, so I can't draw on Oekaki at all, because I can't switch back to Chibipaint.
Any suggestions?

I do not have a solution for the lagginess, but you could try to turn up the smoothness of your brush settings.

ok, this software is refusing to work on the new chrome; what is going on here??

first they tell me to use chrome, and it will quit soon, and not dump paint!!!now you tell me i have to go back to firefox?? WHAT IS WRONG?? I DID ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS CORRECTLY. THIS SOFTWARE OF CHICKEN PAINT JUST WILL NOT FUNCTION--IT WON'T WORK.

Have you changed your oekaki settings from chibi paint to chicken paint?

OK, I found out, thanks to suggestions of people here, the chicken paint hates my windows and computer.it won't work no matter what adjustments. i followed helpful suggestions here, and i went back to chibi paint 2, on firefox. the new paint just won't run for my computer.Sorry, it got so frustrating, i get suggestions here, they are so helpful.THANK YOU. You are all so helpful! thanks again. You are all such nice and helpful people. I get so lost in technical things. wonderful people here, thank you!

(i have a 13" macbook air and a mini wacom one tablet. i also use google chrome and chickenpaint. i tried chibipaint on safari but it is only slower and also doesn't work)

It states on the first page (the first question) that the official plug-in won't work for recent versions of Mac OX, but you can use this version of JTABLET here that the lovely Nick provided

Hello ! I was just wondering, would it be possible to use pen pressure on oekaki with chrome ? (I use the intuos art, js)

Everytime we get firefox we get a virus. (yes, we use the official site) and internet explorer is just slow.

Again, from the first question:

In order to enable pen pressure on the Oekaki, you need a plugin called JTablet. Not only does it give you pen pressure, but it fixes some lag issues with the Oekaki as well. It does not enable pen pressure for mouse users, only for tablet users. Be sure to restart your browser (or your computer if you're feeling fancy) after installing JTablet.

Also, make sure your tablet drivers are up to date![/color] You can download the latest drivers from your tablet manufacturer's website. They're usually listed under the product name, or under 'Support' or something similar. If your pen pressure does not work outside of the Oekaki then you're just using out of date drivers and you need to update them or reinstall them.

For Mac OS X
If you're using a recent version of Mac OS X, the official plugin won't work, so please install this version instead. Provided by our lovely Nick. If you have previously installed the other version of Tablet that is fine, just install this one and it will solve the issue. The other version of JTablet will make Oeaki not usable at all and cause the program to freeze.

that is the version i was referring to that 404's on me. i apologize if i wasn't clear enough. i did read the FAQ thoroughly before commenting
