I've been having this problem since Christmas.

I'm trying to get my pen pressure to work with the Oekaki, and I can't seem to do it. I've made sure my drivers are up to date, and I have JTablet installed and everything, I even tried doing it in different browsers. I have a Huion Tablet, I doubt thta makes a difference though.

When I go to test the plugin, I get the following error: (Plugin v.: couldn't load) Jtablet Error: Could not initialize tablet.

I've been trying to fix this issue, and I haven't been able to find a solution. Does anybody know what I can do?

Do you HAVE to have a pen and special tablet to draw on the Oekaki? Because I don't have one...

    Nope! You can use Oeakaki just fine without one. You can use a trackpad, mouse, etc. You just can't have pen pressure without a tablet.

    I recommend using the "smoothing" option to help your lines appear smoother without the use of pen pressure.

So my tablet started having problems with oekaki yesterday and oekaki wouldn't load; so i updated java and then oekaki would open but my tablet wouldn't work with paint tool sai either, after a few restarts my tablet finally works in paint tool sai but not with oekaki

I have the most recent version of hard drive for my tablet and am using google chrome (im on an older version of chrome, but the tablet doesn't work w/ internet explorer either hhh)

How can i fix this? (restarting hasn't fixed the problem like it usually does ene)

“My Oekaki isn't saving! It freezes or tells me it failed to save.”
Try again! Sometimes it takes a while before the Oekaki will save, especially if you have a lot of layers. If you keep having issues, try to use a cable to connect to the internet. The direct connection will usually allow you to save. If nothing seems to be working, restart your router if possible.

I tried that method and it stil never wont let me save ;-;

Apparently Firefox is stopping Java comparability within the next few months, meaning that there will be very few browsers that run Java.

What will happen then? Will an alternate browser based program be used? Or will we just have to live with it?

IE is worth a try, it works and if an update tab shows up check in the box: 'Only alert me when a new update is available' and it stopped coming up for me.

    Also, if you are a chrome user and dislike opening a whole new browser just for oekaki, there is a handy extension that lets you open an IE tab right in your chrome browser. You can get it here!
    I don't know if a reliable add on like this exists for firefox since I do not regularly use it myself, though.
