my java is constant crashing for okekai only, once the prompt to run it starts everything freezes completely and after a while i get a pop up that gives the option to wait or stop the plug in all together. its become rare for me to get java to work without quite the fight of going back and forth from this pop up and reloading the page over and over to get it to work
Do you have any older versions of java installed by any chance?
no, i checked there site as well as tryed an update on the program itself and both said i was up to date

I had the exact same problem happen to me. Adding CS to the java exception list helped me. (Instructions here) Hopefully that helps!

@Infinitycs
Quoting my solution from earlier in the thread that fixed the issue for me. Sounds like you still may have a file in the hidden library that need to be removed. The best solution for mac unfortunately seem to be not to have jTablet at all. After I removed the version in the hidden library oekaki have been working without a problem on firefox.I had the same problem, I deleted jTablet from my Library and emptied the trashcan, but still got a popup. You might have jTablet installed in the hidden library on your Mac. To access it click Command+Shift+G. Type in ~/Library. Then go to Java>extensions. If you find jTablet in the extensions folder, which I think you'll do, just delete it the same way you did the first file. This did the trick for me and now oekaki is working on firefox, though without pen pressure.
And to any windows user who's wondering; Mac doesn't have the uninstall option the same way as windows, hence the deleting of the files.

Thank you so much! You saved me so much money - I would have had to pay to clear the virus off my computer!
I'm glad to hear it worked!

You running 8.66 Java?
I was having the exact problem. 8.60 version refused to work with the Oekaki, despite being able to load any other java app. The exceptions list didn't work for me. Have you tried to
Verity your Java? Now that it's been updated I can use the Oekaki again.
Anyway this is what I found my problem was:
If you are up to date make sure that it's the only one in use:
Launch Configure Java
Go to the "Java" tab
Click View
Might you have an old instance running? The ONLY one that should be check is the Java with the pathway:
jre1.8.0.66
That is the only one that needs to be checked.
All others are old. Uncheck older ones and hit apply then ok.
Restart your browser.
