I have never done this. However, I have had trades that I've initiated edited by the other person to include a pet from one of my locked groups, and I've accepted that trade thinking that the pet they wanted was in my trades.
This is separate from the new wishlist feature - which I think is great too, as long as you watch what you're doing.

So it seems that you can't ask for pets in a locked group if you initiate the trade, but the person you are trading with can edit the trade to include pets from your locked groups, once the trade has been set up.

Yes, that's true. Otherwise if you sent someone a trade including some pets from your locked group, they could never edit the trade and add more pets on their side, since they wouldn't be able to offer on your locked pets.

I will add a lock symbol to locked pets in the trade, I think.

I've noticed that whenever I click the 'Trade with me' link underneath someones username, without adding a wishlist pet to my side first, I can still access their wishlist only locked groups...

And I know I'm not imagining things or editing a previous trade. I even clicked the link under your name to test it:

So he was right. I was the mistaken one in this.

But I do like the idea of adding a lock symbol to those groups you have locked down, etc... It would make it easier to tell what I do want to trade, and what I don't.
