archive error? question

was browsing the archive and noticed there is a litter of butterfly wolves from easter 2023 that all have the 3rd-gen label, but they're missing from the 3rd gen section in the wiki, and it looks like neither of their parents are second generation?

according to missing image data on the old 2023 easter thread and the CS transpets page it looks like they used to be labeled as 2nd gen, why did they change?

edit: and two have the usual 3rd gen blue color on their labels, but two don't/are color blended to match the green? very odd litter

I can’t help at all with most of the weirdness, but the difference in label color probably has to do with them having different artists? The ones with blue 3rd gen labels are by MissionFlight and the ones with labels colored to blend in are by Koikee.

searching around it seems like this butterfly wolf from christmas 2015 is based on this newborn from july 2014, which is a second gen, so technically its kids would be third gen. that was probably pointed out after the pets were released, which is likely why it was changed. (though idk why it wouldnt be on the wiki. i guess it was just missed)
