April Fools Prank Pets :(

Just wanted to be honest about my feelings here. My friends and I are all extremely disappointed about losing all those rats. We all thought the joke was "tee hee all the pets are rats this time!" instead of you know, the usual variety of animals. But we were stoked about that, we LOVE rats.

It's just not a very funny prank to us. We're sad about our rats and we want them back

If it helps, the question mark rat litter seems to be growing into each of the different rats that were adoptable on April Fool's Day only.

Most websites that do something silly for April Fool's Day only have that silly change last for a single day, not for the whole month, so I had figured the rats wouldn't stay as they were forever. I'm sorry that you didn't expect this and were let down. </3

I traded all my rats because I didn't want them, turns out they weren't rats and I actually wanted the species I traded...

If they weren’t going to stay as rats, I feel like they should all at least have their first “growth stage” be rats in the archive. I was REALLY disappointed to see they weren’t. That feels kind of lame.

I guess it makes sense, because people who adopted them after the first won’t get them as rats, but maybe they should have! The day of the first would still have been special because of the rat site theme, profile pics, and all the text that got changed. And then the prank would be immortalized in the archive, which I think would at least be fun. And maybe each one could have had a possible PPS variant that stayed a rat.

I mean, the Rat Shake joke site theme got added as an official theme we can change to whenever we want, and we got all the profile pics added too. Why not let the rat stage be official in the archive?
