Advice? For declining trades

I just had the weirdest interaction and i have no idea if its against any rules but i did make me feel uncomfortable.

I declined an offer politely as i saw a better offer. The person then decided to pm me laughing then blocked me.

I don't really understand what happened lol, ive often declined an offer and no one has done this.

Do i report it? Was it wrong in someway? I don't think a person should do this just for having a trade declined. I always try to politely declined, what would be the best way to decline going forward?

Sorry i just dont ever want to sound rude to decline or something, i usually decline like this -

"Hi! I'm soooo sorry i am only doing litter swaps"
"Im so sorry, i forgot to remove that pet from my wishlist "
" i am so sorry i found a better offer, thank you for considering! ☆☆"

I also usually add " have a lovely day ☆☆", "hope you have a wonderful day ☆"

Are these ok declining messages? Or should i change it someway.

continue to decline the same way you have been, this person evidently has some issues with rejection (not even saying that to be rude) and can't process the fact someone kindly refused their offer.

You would also be well within your right to report them if the PM that they sent you was unkind. They wouldn't have been doing anything wrong if they had only blocked you, but rude messages would go against CS's terms of service if I understand correctly.

you have every right to decline any trade, and you shouldn't be made to feel bad about it. you're right to feel uncomfortable, they seem so strange. anyway, you were super kind and keep doing what you do!

no don't feel bad at all. I know it is easier said and somewhat hypocritical with me, but often times, people will either resend
a trade if they are interested and try to find something that works for both of you. If they are just sending mass trades, odds
are, it won't really effect them. c: Declining trades is part of the 'game' of trading, you know?

That person was extra with it and could honestly find something better to do with their time than bully people for not
getting things their way. That's a bad look and incredibly unattractive. You didn't do anything wrong! Keep on keeping on!!

Never feel bad about reporting someone if you believe they have broken a rule or you believe its the right thing to do. The report button is there to help you and will help stop them doing the same to other people in the future. At the end of the day your decline messages were very polite and they should of just accepted that.
