Wrong Year Date On Pet? (RESOLVED!) (FEEL FREE TO LOCK! <3)

Hi! To those reading, I got this pet a while ago and when I got it I went to look and see if it was an event/monthly pet so I could name it accordingly! When I went to find it, it took me AGES! I found out that it was actually a pet from 2008, in September specifically. I am quite confused because it's not a re-release, it's adoption date states it was adopted in June on the 7th; 9 months past it's assigned date! This is so interesting! Would this make the pet more valuable? I have so many questions! I would love if staff or anyone could help explain what's going on! Here's the pet!

Some old pets were available to adopt for a long time! They weren't only available to adopt for a month. They're called extended release pets.

It's explained in this thread If you scroll down you can see the litter your butterfly wolf is from! They were available to adopt well into 2009, even though their initial release was 2008.

It's not the wrong date and doesn't make them more valuable or anything. A lot of warrior cats were available for an extended release too, that's why some have 2009 adopt dates and others have 2010

That is so interesting to know!! :o I've never come across a pet like this before in my many years on here, so it was a first for me lol!
