What are these pets?

Hi im extremely new to this site and i wanted to know what pet this was ,,

i hope i dont get flamed for not having any unknown etiquette or a signature yet,, or if im in the wrong forum because i have no clue what im doing pls correct me if im in the wrong place

i would describe it as a caterpillar! if you look through the archives you'll find similar looking pets (although theyre not very common monthlys) heres one from new years i believe

the halloween ones just a little harder to see because of the wings :)
also your all good! dont stress too much, theres no real 'etiquette', just be kind and respectful! :D

Yes, they are caterpillars!
Here you can see them under butterfly wolves in the archive, as that's one of the growing stages of a butterfly wolf -- though these have some edits.
This edit has been used last New Years (when these specific lineart edits debuted, I believe), this month's store pets (just one of them, the emperor caterpillar), and there were very similar edits during the Summer Event.
There have also been edited caterpillars in 2025 Valentines Day, 2025 Lunar New Year, 2025 Easter, 2024 Halloween, 2024 Lunar New Year, 2024 Store Pets, 2023 Halloween, and the 2023 Summer Event. There's another white version of that edited caterpillar from Summer 2023 but I can't remember which year/month off the top of my head.
