what is a 'co-op (archive)'?

hi!! sorry if this isnt the right place to ask, i couldnt find anything that really answers this question :'D

i was in the UMA forum and i keep seeing talk of a 'co-op' or 'co-op archive' but im not really sure what it is? i saw that each UMA has its own public archive where you post your stuff, so that makes sense. but then i saw people call their personal collections a co-op archive, too? im not even sure what co-op means for, in this case DX

Hey there! A co-op is like a storage for each member of the uma to keep track of their critters! This is my personal storage, but as you can see, most of them link to an "official co-op archive"

This is mine for the Guild of Geckos. This is a way for the uma owner to keep track of who is in the uma and helps them make sure everyone is keeping up with their critters!

thank you for the quick reply!! do you have any idea what 'co-op' stands for? i know thats so unimportant but i can only understand it as 'cooperative' and im struggling to get the meaning of it LOL. unless its because the archive is shared by multiple people, its 'cooperative'? :'D

co-op in co-op archive does stand for cooperative, since everyone is working together on the same thread to keep the archive updated ^_^ as i understand it anyway
