Request to unlock Art thread

I'm asking that my art thread be unlocked. I feel that the locking was unfair, as the chargest against me weren't entirely true.

Refusing to cite your sources and claiming to have drawn something all by your own when you clearly haven't is not tolerated.

this was the warning which was issued to me after Sorren asked that I cite my sources, after which I replied with this:

You mean the refrences I'm being given by people requesting art? Other than what I'm given I usually don't use refrences if they're common animals like felines, canines, rodents, or horses.

I never refused to cite my sources, I was just wondering what sort of sources to cite. I understood that I needed to refer to the images used when drawing lineart and such, but I wanted to know if I also needed to use images given to me by other users when they requested art. I only had time to find and post one of my refrences before the thread was locked and the warning was issued. More would have been posted with the other but I currently have a 1 month old child who needed to be fed, and I intended to come back and fix the rest, however the thread was locked before I had the opportunity to do so. If need be I'm willing to take a timestamped and labeled photo of mysel and her If need be to prove the fact. And as a side note, I don't appreaciate being accused of lieing before a situation is fully understood.

The buffalo looks traced when compared to the reference.. The horse does too, although that may just be your style?.. If you trace something and don't cite it, that's against the rules. Actually, according to this it isn't allowed at all unless you have the original artist's permission. I think that could be the reason why you got the warning.

If you use a photo as a reference, then you have to post a link to it. You stated that you didn't use references when it's clear that you do since your buffalo picture is a reference.

You can make a new art thread if you can follow our art rules and cite all reference images you used to make the line arts you provide. But be warned, if you don't cite those references, that one will get locked as well and another forum warning will be given.

I will be making a new art thread. But once again I'd like to point something out (and I hate having to do so since it makes me sound rude) that I never stated that I 'never' use refrences, and I ask that you read my response to Sorren's post again, as well as my entire request again. I stated that I "usually don't" use references, I also never said I did NOT understand that i needed to state them when used and I had started to comply with the request. That horse line art is very old, and until Sorren messaged me stating that I was lieing and showed my lineart placed over a picture I did not remember that I had made it that way, and I will no longer be offering it as an adoptable.

I never intended to break the rules, I apologise, though I still feel that I was unfairly accused of being a liar and a thief, as both were unintended.
