What does this mean?

On about two user's profiles, I've seen this message telling me that they're inactive because their profile details changed, or something.
Here's what I mean.:

What does this mean? Can someone tell me, cause I don't get it. :T

My guess is that they are currently changing their password or email address, oractivating something, and have yet to finish the procedure. I'm not entirely sure though, admins could probably confirm what it is.

if you change the email address on your account then you have to click an activation link which gets mailed to the new address before you can keep using your account. In the interim period, they're inactive because the profile details changed.

Some people remain inactive for a couple of days because they put an email address they can't actually access and are waiting for us to respond to their pleas for help
