I have a small question?

Once a cat/dog gets to the middle stage of growth, can 2 that look the same at the middle stage turn out different? Sorry if I don't make sense

Yes. The same 2nd stage can grow into 2 different adults.
Clowns to the left of me.
Jokers to the right.
Here I am, stuck in the middle with you.
