What happened with the pound?

So today I go to the pound and it says The pound will open in 1 hour and 28 minutes. Ok great I go back to cleaning up the house. I come back and log in it says the pound will open in less than one minute. I refresh the page and it says Sorry the pound is closed. WOW did all the pound pets get taken in the time it took me to refresh the page? Why post how long before the pound opens if it really does not open?

Looks like someone has forgotten to fill the adoption group.

I have looked into the Pound and it was not going to open at the time you posted.
That what you have seen was the countdown which shows you when you are able to adopt again. After adopting a pet from the pound you have to wait 24 hours before you can adopt again.

Thank you for the help. I have gotten three different messages when checking the pound.

1 Sorry, the pound is closed at the moment. The pound opens at totally random times of day, so check back later to try again!

2 -The pound will open again in X hours and X minutes (this one usually means that if I come back in that amount of time the pound will be open.)

3 - You have gotten a pet from the pound. You will have to come back in 24 hours before you can get another pet.

But since it was the 2nd message I got, I thought as in times before, it was telling me when the pound would be open. That was why I am confused as to why the pound hadn't opened like it had in the past.

Are you absolutely positive you didn't just misread? #3 actually looks like this: You have already adopted from the pound in the last 24 hours. The earliest time you could adopt from the pound (if it happened to be open) is in: 9 hours, 42 minutes so perhaps you noticed the numbers at the end and assumed it was when the pound would be opening rather than when you'd be able to adopt again, at the earliest. It's an easy mistake to make.

Well it is a possibility. And I have just seen a new message "Sorry, the pound is closed at the moment. The pound will open within half a day" Learn something new every day.

does it really mean half a day? because it says that right now..........

It says "within half a day". It may open earlier than 12 hours.
