Does the length matter: well, if it ever gets published, it would need to it on the front page, so no longer then a typed page. u.u

Here's your poem, Bronwyn. Just tell me if it's too short or too long and I'll do my best to fix it.

Eyes shoot open as a spark
Burns its way into the dark
And grows and lights the shadows
To eliminate the sorrow
That has lived here too long,
The weight of an unsung song...
Gone.

Or...

Eyes shoot open and ears are perked,
A crack in the shadows does but lurk,
And instead shines light, tiny and bright.
"But will it last all through the night?"
