I'm actually going to keep this story gong, Amazing huh? Well, I'm a bit rusty on writing, due to summer I'll just start by introducing the characters.

I drew my hair up into a sloppy ponytail and tied it up with my lucky hairband. I grabbed my backpack and raced downstairs, sliding down the banister. ''Morning mom!" I called. ''I'm leaving!" I grabbed a piece of toast and jammed it in my mouth. I heard my mom yell something, but ignored it. Today was the first day of 7th grade, and there's no way I was missing it. Since school was just down the street, I walked. ''I'm going to see Josh, I'm going to see Josh lalalala,'' I sang to myself, twirling around. I stopped short. ''What if he suddenly hates me? Or totally abandons me?'' I fretted, starting to turn back to my house. I stopped again. ''He knows you Sam. He's your best friend Sam. And he still doesn't know you like him Sam,'' I muttered to myself, walking towards school again. ''He's your only friend Sam,''I added. ''He won't abandon you. Right?"

I skipped the rest of the way to school, smiling to myself. I went to my homeroom and said hi to my teacher, sitting down in my assigned seat, my fingers tapping on the side of my desk as I doodled on my backpack. The door opened at least 5 times before I gave up looking for Josh. ''He'll come eventually,'' I said to myself. ''He said he'd come and say hi before class. It's only 5 more minutes. And if he doesn't come, he hates you,'' I muttered frantically to myself. the door opened again and I sighed. Another classmate I guess. I continued doodling, barely noticing it got darker in the room.

''Hey.''

I looked up. The most gorgeous pairs of eyes peeked out behind black hair. ''What?" I manged to sputter out. I blinked, then mentally slapped myself. He does NOT have pretty eyes. Josh does. Not him. josh.

''I'm Dane,'' The pretty eye- no the normal eyed boy said. ''I'm uh sitting next to you.''

I nodded. ''That's great,'' I said, looking away. ''I'm Sam,'' I supressed a sigh and looked at the door, then at my watch. I felt Dane slide into the seat next to me and take out a notebook. The door creaked open, and I sighed. Another classmate. I looked at my watch. ''one more minute. You're cutting it close.''

''Told you I'd come.''

I looked up, and smiled. Josh. ''You're cutting it close,'' I teased, tapping my watch. ''You have 30 seconds to get to your homeroom.''

Josh smiled. ''This is my homeroom. I got transferred,'' He said, leaning on my desk. ''And I'm sitting right next to you,'' He said, pointing to the other desk.

I smiled. I was so worried Josh wouldn't come, I didn't see his name clearly written on the green paper. I hid my paper, which was full of his name, under my hand. ''That's...awesome!" I exclaimed jumping up. ''Let me see the rest of your schedule!" In the end, we ended up having 4 out of 7 classes together. ''Not too bad,'' I said, smiling. ''This is so cool!" I hugged him with one arm. ''YOu said we'd go to Great America during the summer, but we never did,'' I said, slapping him on the side. I tensed when I saw Dane staring at me, his eyebrow slightly raised. ''Um sit down Josh,'' I said, smiling. ''This is um a new friend, Dane,'' I said, rubbing the back of my head. Why did I feel so nervous around him? And why was he staring at me? Did her like me or something? But we just met. Ahh whatever, it's nothing, I though, shaking my head and sitting down.
