Title: A Thief’s Guide to Stealing a Heart
Genre: Romantasy, Action, Comedy, Slow Burn Romance, Found Family
Tone: Snarky, adventurous, with a healthy dose of tension and miscommunication
Premise
In a kingdom where magic is tightly regulated and demons are hunted, Kale, a quick-witted street thief, survives by stealing enchanted trinkets and flipping them on the black market. One night, she steals a jewel sealed inside the royal vaults—a forbidden relic from the Demon War. Unfortunately for her, the jewel is a soulstone… and it contains the dormant spirit of Riven, a disgraced demon lord.
Breaking the seal awakens Riven—and accidentally binds him to Kale through an ancient soul pact. Now, wherever she goes, he goes. The only way to break the bond? Travel to the ruined demon capital and perform a forgotten ritual—if they don’t kill each other first.
But as bounty hunters, the king’s enforcers, and other demons start closing in, Kale and Riven must pretend to be romantically involved to avoid suspicion. Pretend long enough... and hearts start slipping.
