My Story - I need help - Writer's Block

So, I'm writing a story, with my word count I think you could consider it more of a book. I just have writer's block I guess and I could use some thoughts on where I should go with it. It is mature, so I won't post it directly here, which I'm not sure is allowed anyway. But here's what I have so far, just to sum it up. **This isn't the actual story, just a summary of what's happened so far, published and unpublished.

Set in 2005 then jumps to 2015.
The story starts out at a crime scene (On Halloween day of 2005) of a woman (22 years) named Scarlett. Her death is mysterious and is labelled not a homicide (I can't post the actual term). Anyway, an officer investigating, is Pamela who happens to have a daughter named Harlen (the main character). Pamela disagrees with the ruling on Scarlett's COD. Jumps to 2015. The day before Halloween, a group of students, Harlen included, decides to go down to where Scarlett passed away. Among the group is Kelly, Jason, Joel and obviously Harlen. They decide to camp over the weekend wanting to see some of the horrors that everyone is talking about. They get down to the swamp and set up their camping area. The group hears things and then Kelly reveals that she brought a 'game' board to talk to the dead. They play with it (speaking to Scarlett) without saying goodbye, because Joel is startled by a strange dog. The dog ends up joining the group, attaching himself to Harlen. For some reason another student who the group isn't fond of, Britney, finds them and joins them. They play again (speaking to someone else who calls itself Him) and get some pretty vague answers. The group goes to bed and Harlen has some pretty weird dreams. She wakes up to find everything is quiet. The group left all of their phones in the vehicle, except for Britney. Harlen emerges from the tent again to find Britney gone and when she returns to the tent, Jason and the dog (Rocky) are gone too. At this point everyone is missing and there's someone outside looking for Harlen and calling her name. She hides under the mattress so the man can't find her. Once she's sure that the threat is gone, she steps outside and hears Kelly. So at this point, everyone is missing except for Kelly. They decide to leave and Rocky appears again and follows the girls. The car isn't drive-able so they start walking. They meet up with Kelly's sister and she takes them home. Harlen gets home with Rocky and her mom calls. Her mom starts freaking out about Rocky being there and rushes home. Once her mom is home, Harlen get's some disturbing answers. She finds out that Scarlett was her aunt and her mom was adopted. She also finds out that her biological family was a part of "The Society" which isn't a very nice group of people. This society has powers over certain things including ghosts. Scarlett then appears and Harlen finally believes what her mom is telling her. A man from the society shows up and tries to take Harlen and her mom. Rocky gets injured in the process and Scarlett aids in their escape. Harlen also gets injured during the car chase and they resort to going to a friend of Pamela's to help fix the wounds. While there, the same man finds their location. Luckily, Pamela and the friend weren't there and Harlen hides in the closet with his young daughter. The young girl's mom wasn't so lucky and is taken by the man. Pamela gets home and Harlen explains everything. They decide to leave to keep Pamela's friend and his surviving family safe. Pamela out of nowhere decides that she needs to clear things up at her work (the police station) where Harlen finds Kelly and Kelly goes with them. I also haven't mentioned who the man chasing them is, that, my friend, is Kelly's father. Who isn't very nice to his daughter. So they go to a cabin that Pamela has had for years. They also get new identities. During this portion, Harlen finds a man who seems to need help and is in fact a ghost. He was done away with by his wife for reasons I can't disclose. Harlen helps him because Kelly and Pamela can't see him. His wife gets caught and is put in time-out. So they get to the cabin. Harlen discovers other powers, like telepathically communicating with an injured alligator. Helping him as her mother and friend are fearing for her life and their lives quite frankly. Harlen finds out that her father unnaturally passed away because of the society and locks herself away for weeks. (This is where I get into the unpublished parts) Scarlett appears to her a few times and convinces her to 'find herself' in a new world. Harlen leaves for this new exciting journey. Pamela finds out is immediately upset. So Pamela and Kelly are forced to spend time together. The part I've left off is where Pamela finds out that Kelly is carrying a baby. Yes, Kelly is pregnant. Not too long after, Kelly's father shows up and takes Pamela and Kelly because Harlen isn't there. Harlen finally gets homesick and returns home only to find Rocky.

So, this is what I have so far and I'd love to hear theories or ideas on where I should take this. If you want to read the story by itself just message me and I can send you the link. - BUT I'M MORE INTERESTED IN HEARING YOUR THOUGHTS ON WHAT TWISTS I CAN PUT IN OR WHERE I CAN TAKE THIS. IN NO WAY AM I TRYING TO ADVERTISE MY STORY AND IF I AM BREAKING ANY RULES, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW I CAN CHANGE IT OR IF I NEED TO JUST DELETE IT, THANKS!!
