i heard myself whisper it.

from where ?

black, everything was black -

darker than black.

everything was slowly spindling. trickling down my spine like a cold drop of novacaine.
i don't want it. i tried to tell them, i don't want to be numb.

don't we all?

there's something here. besides me. something worse.

what could be worse?

i felt it. slithering through my veins, making my limbs shudder.
then i could feel it coming out of my hands, thick. heavy.

not it, me.

it caressed my pale skin, and whispered in my ear

"you aren't leaving again, are you?"
