kalon adopt // marisol

hi !! i felt like my form was getting a little long so here's the rest on the story :)

marisol rose with the sun; she believed it was the most beautiful part of
the day. before everyone else was awake, when it was just her feet on
the ground and the birds in the sky filling the silence. she wandered
along a well worn path to the forest. her secret paradise, her escape.
she felt the dense earth crunch between her toes as she
unconsciously headed toward the pond. this journey was technically
only ten minutes, but it usually took marisol about an hour. she would
often "stop and smell the roses," as it were. the forest never ceased to
amaze her. no matter how often she took the same path, the flowers
always entwined themselves differently and the trees always spread
their leaves in distinctly new way. she loved every bit of it. finally,
marisol reached the pond. she took a deep breath, sat down, and
let the forest settle around her. the birds returned to their perches,
and the fish began to twirl through the water.

"hey sis!" taura ran skipped up with a pouch over her shoulder as
the animals returned to hiding.

"oh, hi! what's up? you almost never leave the mountain," marisol asked,
"and what's in the bag?"

"just some letters from dad," she tossed a stack to marisol, "and you know
mom loves the Festival food, so I figured I grab her some and drop off the
letters at the same time. save you a trip."

"thanks, I really appreciate it, taura ran," marisol hesitated, "but while
you'rehere, I wanted to ask you something. do you ever worry about the
future?I mean, you're always talking about fate, but what if I have no
destiny?"

taura ran chuckled, "don't worry! everything will work out in the end, I
promise you'll be fine,"

"are you talking to me as a friend, or as my sister who has special
luck powers?" marisol nudged her sister.

"as a friend, you know I can't tell you that stuff," taura ran responded,
"anyway, I'll see you later. bye!"

"k bye!" marisol watched as her sister walked off, then turned back toward
the pond. she stared at her reflection, trying to 'solve' her future. but
no matter how much she thought about it she was still worried. "if only
I had a sign," she sighed. just then, flower drifted down from above.
marisol gasped, "mom? is that you?" she got to her feet, and looked around
for another. surely this was her mother leading her to her destiny. but
no other flowers fell. marisol sank to the ground and cried, pulling her
precious scarf off her neck to wipe her eyes. right then and there she
made a vow to no longer wait for fate to change her life, but to make
her own future.
