How did he start pirating?

- If I had to put it in specifics, I'd probably say he started pirating almost by accident? For him it was just sort of the next logical step. He was already the leader of a gang, lived on the streets, and regularly committed crimes just to survive. Once he got well known enough that nowhere in the city was safe, and given his ultimate goal of revenge, taking to the seas was just the next logical step to him.

Does he have a significant other, or even a remotely vested interest in finding one?

- Highly unlikely. Ever since what happened with his parents - and also as a asort of 'precaution' as gang leader - he kinda stopped getting attached to / emotionally invested in others. Partially out of fear of them being taken away and partially out of wariness of being stabbed in the back. Sort of on that note, I doubt there's anyone he genuinely trusts. Sure there's some people who he knows he has their loyalty and he uses that, but that doesn't mean he trusts them at all.

Not a magic user right?

- Nope, not a drop of magic in him. However, he is a witch doctor. He specializes in brewing poisons, but can make genuinely helpful potions too (though usually these are extremely temporary effects just to scam you out of money).

I assume he is a superb fighter then, given his past, what with fighting gangs, being in one, and his tendency to commit crime, also compounded by his desire for revenge and lack of magical ability. This is all correct, yes?

- Very much so. He's an excellent swordsman, very skilled at hand to hand combat, highly manipulative and charming, and a master of stealth. He's also very good at lulling people into a false sense of security so they drop their guard only to immediately have them at the tip of his sword. That all being said however, he's not quite the best swordsman of the crew. That title belongs to Blade.

Who are the captains enemies explicitly?

- Quite a lot of people honestly. His main enemies are the pirate crew who razed his house, but he's also at this point borderline public enemy number one, so just about everyone in every police force and navy is an enemy of his, as well as a large chunk of the general public.
