namiko is a wanderer. the fishy viscet was thrown into life without a family of her own after a brisk storm brushed her away from the sanctuary she was going to be raised in. due to her young age, the event blew away her memory of them as well. other than a few vague memories with flashes of green and possibly a brothers smile, namiko began her life looking for her relatives she had lost. however, soon she started to wander. ever since then, years went on without finding them and her unplanned travels brought her a family of her own. She has come to love and fear viscet's of all size, but at the end of the day the young girl smiles because she knows that those not related by blood are still a family; a family that can't even be covered with permanent marker. these are the one-shots that cover every significant meeting in namiko's life.

♕ CONTENTS AND COMMENTS ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ CREDITS, AUTHOR NOTES, PLAYLIST, REFS.
➣ authors note: For anyone reading my forum, I want to thank them. I put a lot of effort into this and your eyes scanning it is much appreciated! Also, if I do not win, I would like my art to go to the winner. I will have to message the commissioners to see if their art is free to pass on as well. I've been very picky about selecting my first ever PPS viscet and this one caught my eye. My journey to try and win her was exhilarating. Thank you james. for the opportunity to win her. Also, just to clarify the story is complete. The one-shots were just little blurbs of her experience that I was writing about c: Each one shot has a different viscet she met!
➣ playlist: [here is a playlist for you to listen to while reading about nami's journey] one shot one \\ one shot two \\ one shot three \\
➣ credits: I want to thank Strudel for letting me write about their amazing Huxley and I want to thank muttgirl310 for letting me use their pretty girl Revera. Adding other PPS to enhance my story really helped considering I do not have a little fella of my own! Thanks again so much!

♕ ONE SHOT NUMBER:ONE ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ A BLANKET MADE OF COTTON.
➣ For a short time, Namiko lived in a village just short from the shore. She had just come from a land so brisk and cold that her paw pads would freeze moments after stepping outside. Her travel away from the snowy land brought her to a place more like home and after her little adventure ended, she found herself staying in the village of Montiniko much longer than she expected. There were a few familiar faces, but other than her boss, Namiko had no relationships in the place. The small viscet worked for a basket weaver. They made baskets from the string-like bark on the rare trees in the area. Since he was working all day to prepare baskets for the fish and fruit that are caught throughout the day, he needed someone to fetch the materials. Namiko, open for adventure, asked for a cheap price in return. All she needed was enough to afford food. Liking her simplistic ideals, the basketweaver hastily made a deal with Namiko to work for him till the end of summer. Midway into the season, Namiko went off to work for another day.
The sunrise was beautiful as it cast down upon the slowly rising town. Namiko, without noticing it, set off on her lonely ways. She never felt like her paths were alone for she was surrounded by others every day. However, she never spoke to those viscets. It was rare for her to speak more than three times a day at most. Namiko's green scales glimmered in the sun as the morning breeze blew the tallgrass her way. She could no longer hear the melody of the crashing waves and instead heard the morning birds songs as she neared the forest far from the village. Tranquility consumed her. This was a place of peace and love. As she walked further into the forest with a basket hanging in her jaws, Namiko found herself picking up her pace.
In the distance, the intriguing sound of crashing waters increased. Lakesides and shallow creek beds promised her with an influx of the rare Koppus Yew and when she finally made it through the forest line her ocean blue eyes caught sight of a bounty she couldn't quite believe. There were tons of the Yews growing healthily by the water's edge. Her boss would be incredibly happy to see her return with ten times the amount of strips as expected. However, she wasn't sure as to how she would get it all back before sunrise. She couldn't carry much back with those little paws of hers. Namiko got to work by using her claws and teeth to tear the thin strips away. The taste was bland, but not enough to cause any discomfort. She worked endlessly as the sun shone down on her. By noon, the pretty viscet stopped for a break. With her pile of strips nearby, Nami hoped from rock to rock while getting a few small licks of water from the beautiful creek below.
"How will this work?" she asked herself. Talking alone was common for the emerald beauty. "My paws are shorter than even the larger viscet's."
"Two pairs of paws are better than one," a hushed voice said from somewhere behind her. Nami spun around quickly, her heart pounding in her chest from surprise at the newcomer. Her eyes landed upon one of the prettiest viscet's shes ever seen. Colors of grey mixed together; creating a pattern she couldn't have imagined herself. Lighter spots marked her tail and muzzle to tie together her lavender eyes. As cute as she was, everything was put together with a small little blanket hung around her neck.
"Who are you?" Nami inquired.
The requested viscet smiled shyly. Something about her told Nami that she didn't normally start conversations. She was a timid one. "My name is Revera," she said in a light voice. "Do you need my assistance?" The question got Namiko thinking. She never wanted to bother others and if she did take Reveras help would the viscet inquire some sort of payment in return?
"I am afraid I do not have any coins to spare," she said solemnly with her head lowered, but the feeling didn't dwindle long. Revera was dismissing a thing such as payment. She just wanted to help. Namiko's never been helped for free. Revera's kindness shown through a blanket holding Yew strips made a mark in the watery viscet's mind. This was a friendship she would hold onto forever. From the sunrise to its shimmering set, Namiko and Revera worked and played through the entirety of the summer. Not even one minute of one day was wasted.
