Yes she knows that he cares for her but she also knows that she can’t love him back as they are opposites. She the goddess of death and dark, he the god life and light.

I am Blade, or at least that was my birth name. To you mortals I am known none other than the goddess of death and darkness.
I only have one goal and that is to fulfill my duty. Unlike my brother Curio I have to bring death to the world. I reclaim the lost souls who wander about earth and when the time is right I take others away from their families. I can plan their deaths. My brother on the other hand has the fun part. He gets to give lives. And before you ask, no it does not bother me taking lives. I have gotten used to it. Used to everyone being mad at me. And besides I quite enjoy it now.

Do I like my job? No, but it is a part of me now and I am not allowed to change it. Yes, I am a little jealous of my brother but at least I am not a target. My brother and I are practically enemies. Yes, we do care for each other, in our own ways, but we both try to undo each other's doings. For instance if he were to bring in a life I could take it away or if I were trying to take a life he could make them stronger. That's why I prefer fast deaths. But the best part is we are both immortal. The universe gave us these powers so we could “take care of the mortals” or whatever. So you know what that means? I get to spend all of eternity fighting. Lucky me.

How would I describe myself? Sarcastic, dark, mysterious, mischievous, and clever. Aren't I creative?

How did I get my name? Well the universe created life itself. Too much life and something had to be done. Together the universe chose us and it was clear on what had to be done. One by one I was able to decide on who had lived a good life and I could take them away. When I visit the mortals I go into stealth mode, basically I become invisible, that is how I am able to decide on who follows me in death. My brother could do the same but he prefers to show off. As for my name it came from my weapon of choice. A dagger. Yes I do not need it as much as I used to because of magic but believe or not sometimes things don't go my way.

I have been banished from earth multiple times and have been forced to live in the underworld. There I studied magic and have become pretty powerful. I can now hop dimensions, summon items, and plenty more. So not much is boring for me.

I live in the underworld. I live isolated from life. It is the place where I lead all of the souls from those I have taken. Down here I can see everything, every move my brother makes/life he gives. I still don't understand him.
"What a fool!" I got up to grab a cup of water. "My brother has yet again done something beyond stupid."
"Do you really think so little of him?"
"Shut up minion! My brother as just walked into a trap. He has fallen in contact with the king." I gulped down the water and sat back on my throne. "Didn't I just predict something like this would happen. This is why we don't reveal ourselves!" I smacked my paw on the arm rest of the throne in anger, breaking it. "Maintenance!" The Maintenance crew came in and slowly started to rebuild the chair. I got up and slowly started to walk away. "Aren't you going to help him?"
"Who?" I knew who but I really enjoy messing with my minions.
"Your brother, your Maj..."
"Nope don't call me that." I placed my paw over his mouth before he could finish, "To you I am master. And as for Curio he got himself into this mess he can get himself out. Plus, this just means that all of the worlds would be over come with death. Speaking of I have business to attend to on earth." I grabbed my blade and carefully wrapped it on my wrist.
"So your just going to leave him there?" Furiously I turned to face him. "I haven't spoken to my brother for a full year. Plus if he were truly in danger he can summon a portal and come down and visit. Now if this is over I need to go." I summoned up my magic and opened a portal to earth. "Don't get any ideas while I am away." I handed him a cross word puzzle. "Here this will keep you busy." He took it and I left.

Earth has always been the same. People living and dying over and over again. For me though it never gets boring. I am always coming up with new tricks and deaths. I looked around for a good target and landed my eyes on a hospital. The best way in my opinion to take a life in the hospital is to turn off the power. I flew into the rooms where my victims where in and pulled the plugs. I have never understood why humans keep them in pain. The souls started to arise from the bodies and they came to me.
"Kneel!" Every time I take a life they must kneel before their new leader. Its only fair. The souls at first looked confused but they soon realized what was happening. If they didn't kneel I would have left them as ghost and in pain. "See you mortals were made to be ruled. Now if you wouldn't mind I still have to take you home.." I opened up a portal and watched as the newcomers when through.I knew that I wasn't done yet though. I closed the portal but then quickly and curiously opened another one and hopped through.

I ended up in a castle. If this was the last place that Curio was at then he must be close. Normally I would have celebrated that Curio was gone ,therefore all would die. If there were no life though then I knew that I too would have no powers. I had to find him. I searched the castle throughly. I finally came to a throne room and heard a voice.
“Any word for the location of the goddess of death?"
"No your Majesty."
"Well keep looking! Once I have both of their powers I will truly be immortal." At that point I could have ended him but I was fairly sure that he had taken powers from Curio so that had to mean that he could see me and possibly beat me. I couldn't take that chance. I stood in stealth mode and listened. I wasn’t able to make out much but I did know that they were coming for us gods. I have to get out of here. I backed up slowly and made a run for it. I opened a portal and jumped through.
“How was it?”
“Fine. Did you finish that puzzle?”
“Well not exactly..”
“Then get working!!” I did not want to talk with anyone. I must survive! I must warn who was left. The universe had chosen very precisely on who was and wasn’t a god. We kept in touch.. usually. I personally am not the most popular out of us all but I am one of the most important. I wrote a letter explaining the matter and sent it through a portal. The portal was supposed to go to the cloud realm. I know some people there that can help. I made two more letters addressed to the water and earth gods. Hopefully they can help, if they are still out there. I sent the letters out and scurried down to my emergency bunker. There was no way I could let the king find me. Never.

I starred at the king with confidence in my eyes. “I heard you were Looking for me.”
A few hours earlier....

”Your maj...Master, are you ok? You have isolated yourself from everyone for two days.” That was true. I couldn’t risk being caught. Yes it sounds weak and pathetic but there was no way I wanted to be caught. I could trust no one. I squinted my eyes in attempt to see who was behind the door. I looked through the wall and saw my minion. I studied him more to make sure that it wasn’t a disguise. It was clear. I got up out of the corner and went to the door. I slowly unlocked it one by one. “Wow! You look awful.”
“Thanks?”
“Master you are very behind. There are souls lined up for miles trying to get in.” I sighed, even though I might not even exist in a few minutes, I might as well just get over it. “Ok I’m coming.” I went out into the world. What he said was true. Never have I seen so many spirits in one place. I stood up tall and flew in front of them. “Yield!!!!!” I shouted as loud as I could. The chaos started to dim down and slowly it stopped. “Thank you, now kneel to your queen.” The lost souls obeyed. “Good, my children, now come home. I opened a portal and they went through. In the corner of my eye I saw something. It is one of the King’s guards! Once all of the spirits were gone I used my magic to spilt into two. While in the bunker I had come up with a plan. This plan involved me being in two places at once, outside and the castle, I wasn’t actually splitting into two though. It’s more of an illusion. Clearly the fake be would go to the castle so I sent it to meet the guard. As for me I followed but very cautiously. I would go home but I can only be so far from my ‘illusion’. However I could control everything.

I allowed for my illusion to go out of stealth mode plus to be touched.(All beyond this point is the illusion’s view)“Kneel!” I shouted in front of the guard. “I am a god and you will kneel before me! Or of course you could bow down too. I’m just trying to get some respect.” The guard looked around and more guards appeared. “Is this the one?” I heard him whisper. The other guy just nodded. “We are going to have you come with us.”
“Ok where are we going?”
“It’s a surprise.” They hit me on the head and I lost connection. Even though I could not see through the illusion I still had two perfectly go eyes of my own. I followed them from the sky. They were leading me to the castle.

Finally we had arrived. I needed a disguise so I chose snow. Plus I know people in the clouds who can make weather happen. Suddenly it started to snow just as planned I sat in the window watching as my copy did its job.

I walked into the throne room proud of what I had done. I looked around and spotted the king a white necklace hanging around his neck. The figure on it looked peculiarly familiar. Seriously out of all the things you could have done you put him in a necklace! Weak. I looked up to stare at the king with confidence in my eyes. “I heard you were Looking for me.”

”Now before you take away my powers or whatever might I ask one question? What exactly are you planning?” For a second he looked confused but then he smiled. “What I am planning is none of your worries.” Apparently he knew I was a fighter because at that point I felt the world fall under my feet as the guards charged at me. I didn’t fight back though, not this time. I stood there allowing them to pin me on the ground. “Goddess of death, your mind.” He pulled out a black amulet and threw flowers at me. I just sat there starring at him. “Why did that not work?” I grinned at him. “Aww, is your magic not working? Well let me tell you something...your majesty...illusions are everything.” My body slowly disappeared from under their bodies. “Find her!! She couldn’t be far.”

“Are we ready?” I turned to face my allies. My body slowly shifted to its original form.
“I don’t know about them but I’m ready. Oh I’m Juno by the way.” He bowed. “Mhmm...” Half Of these guys I don’t even know but apparently Curio and his allies have come in contact with them. “Ok well you guys know the plan.” The Small pps Viscets jumped out from the trees, they were our distraction. “Ok while they do their part I will need for the guards to be taken out. I don’t care how you do it, just do it.” They just stared blankly at her. “What?”
“You know that we are Cupids not archers, right?”
“Look,” I stated,”you have a bow and you can shoot it, your archers.” I handed them some normal looking arrows. “Just do your job.” The cupids leaped from the clouds at the council’s signal. “With my people fighting, what might you be doing, Blade?”
“Well, Vixen, until the guards are gone I will stay undercover then I will go after the King.”
“Why not now while he is distracted.” I shrugged. “Good point.” I leaped from my post and charged into the castle. This would be the best chance that I will have. Finally I got to the throne room. There he was, waiting for me.

”Look I don’t want to do any harm to you.” I lied, “Just give my brother back and I can call back my army.” He stood up from the throne.
“But don’t you see with both life and death I will truly be a god! I will be immortal.”
“Ya, about that only gods are immortal. You will NEVER be a god. You weren’t chosen to wield our powers we were. Which makes us immortal...SHOOT!” I said too much. With both of our powers together it can create immortality. Now he knew what needed to be done. Slowly I realized, he already knew?! Well of course he did. That’s why we are here. “Well then I guess I have no choice.” I charged at him. And got blown back. I staggered up from the floor. Did he seriously use Curio’s powers on me? That is what makes Yin and Yang what it is. It is an equal cycle. He brings life and I take it away, over and over again, the endless cycle. We are unable to horribly injure each other because of this. I looked at him, vengeance filled my eyes. And once more I charged, using all my power I flung myself forward. I did damage but not enough. We were even, but I was weak.
