Orisa the Fallen // relationship pt.1

Postby stormzien » Sun Apr 22, 2018 12:47 am

    relationship with Elijah//
Orisa's relationship with Elijah isn't complex. It started as a harsh and tense relationship, but as they two spent more time together Orisa slowly warmed up to the winged viscet. Elijah did, of course, find her, which she didn't believe at first. When Orisa first met Elijah, she knew he was a demon, but didn't know he was a fallen one. They barely talked on the first days of their journey, and when they did talk, it was mostly Orisa yelling at him over something stupid. Over time, Orisa knew that Elijah meant no harm to her and finally started opening up. The two found out more about each other gradually and started to grow closer than just friends later on.

The cold air swirled, picking up fallen leaves in it's path. The summer stars shown down on the once vibrant, sunlit forest grotto.
Elijah, a fallen demon, roamed the forest. The smell of a campfire could be scented from afar. Elijah huffed, closed his eyes, and continued walking. Trees waved, and the nightly wind howled. Elijah yawned, growing tired, but he shook the feeling off. He needed to get to the camp.

Elijah finally arrived at the so called camp. He looked down at his map, yup, this was the right spot. He peered around, seeing white tents pitched up around a small campfire. Multiple viscets with dark hoods could be seen. "Hello?" He called. There was no response from the group of viscets. Only another howl of wind. Just then, one of the viscets from around the fire shifted in his spot on the log, stood up, and made his way over to Elijah. "You need somethin' kid?" The viscet asked in a gruff voice. "Y-yes, i do." Eli stuttered, "I heard you can help me find the Shrine of Afriel." The gruff-voiced viscet started to chuckle, and then he broke out into a full laugh. "You can't go there!" The viscet laughed, "Look, kid, i know you want to get there, but you're a demon. Demons can't go there. You'll die!" Elijah gulped, "I know. But im no demon." The gruff-voiced viscet stopped laughing, "You're-what?" Elijah stood up taller, "You heard me. Im. Not. A. Demon." The viscet shook his head, "If you say so." He turned away, "We leave in the morning. Go find somewhere to sleep kid." Then, he started to walk back to the fire. "WAIT!" Elijah shouted, "I never caught your name?" The viscet turned and responded with a smile, "Because i never threw it." Then he continued walking back. Elijah sighed, spreading his fae like wings, and taking for the night sky. He circled around the camp and headed to the right of it, landing in a giant oak tree. He padded the large branch that he was on, and curled up for the night.

Eli slowly opened his eyes and blinked twice, before realizing someone was shaking the tree he was in. "KID GET DOWN HERE! TIME TO GO!" The gruff viscet called. Eli groaned and twisted from side to side on the branch. The gruff voiced viscet then slammed his tail into the trunk, which made Elijah scream and fall. "OW! What was that for?!" He yelled. The viscet only shrugged, "Because ya weren't getting up." Eli grumbled and followed the viscet back to his camp.

Eli sat down next to the fire in the camp, coals still hot, watching the gruff viscet pack up a bag. "Did ya bring anything kid?" He asked. Eli nodded, "Only a satchel." The viscet nodded and continued packing up his things. He took down his tent and stuffed it into a bag, handing it to one of the other cloaked viscets, who carried it away next to one of the other tents. He continued packing his bags until all he had was his satchel as well. Everything else was with the other cloaked viscets. The viscet spoke to the other cloaked viscets, but Elijah couldn't make out what he was saying. He saw the viscets nod and run off, whole he walked towards Eli. "Ready to go?" He asked in his unmistakable gruff voice. Eli nodded, but asked, "What was that all about? You and the others?" The viscet shook his head, "Oh nothin', you'll find out later" He mumbled, the last part was barely audible, but Eli shook it off. The two viscets walked away from the camp and through the forest, the sound of running water could be heard from a distance. "By the way, the name's Otto." The gruff viscet said. Elijah nodded, "Elijah. Though, please call me Eli." Otto nodded and smiled back at him, then stopped and reached into his satchel, pulling out a map. "We're currently here." He said, pointing to a blue 'x' on the map. "And the shrine is supposedly here." He said again, pointing to a red 'x' on the very far side of the map. "We'll be crossing some towns, camps, and outposts, so be careful of bandits." Otto said, looking up at Eli. "Many fallens are here as well, correct?" Elijah asked. Otto shrugged, "Only seen about 2-3 so far, but that's just me. I've only been here for a couple of days." Elijah sighed, and Otto ignored him. "Well, c'mon kid. We have to continue and get out of these woods. There is a path up ahead that leads us to a small outpost." He said, stuffing the map back into his bag. The two viscets continued walking through the woods, heading towards the outpost.

Suddenly, dark clouds started to fade in, and thunder rumbled. "Must be a storm. C'mon, lets get to the outpost, and fast." Otto huffed, walking faster. Elijah looked up at the sky, the thunder started to grow louder and lightning started to strike. This wasn't any normal storm, and Elijah knew what it was all about. "Uh, Otto?" He asked. "Not now kid, we gotta go." Otto replied, not turning towards him. "No, Otto, this isn't a storm. I know it." Elijah stopped. Otto stopped and slowly turned around, facing him. The thunder cracked again, louder than ever before. Elijah gulped, and Otto started to walk backwards, trying to avoid whatever was coming. Elijah looked up towards the sky. No rain. Just like he thought. The clouds above started to swirl, in a tornado like motion, yet no tornado formed, only a hole in the sky. The thunder crackled and popped, while the lightning striked and lit up and sky. The hole in the sky shone with a very bright light, blinding anything looking up at it. Elijah and Otto shielded their eyes and stepped backwards. Then, something fell from the hole. Elijah could barely make out what it was before it hit the ground. Whatever it was hit the ground with a thud, making dust, dirt, and grass fly everywhere. Otto yelped after seeing what the thing was, making him scurry away. As he ran, the map from his back flew out, making its way near Elijah and the fallen thing. Elijah stepped closer, examining what it was. Another viscet. But not just any ordinary viscet, it seemed this one was a fallen angel, with long whiskers and a very long tail.

Elijah picked up the map, stuffing it in his back, and then looked around for Otto. But he was nowhere to be seen. Elijah sighed. The clouds then turned back to normal, parting like they had been, making the sun shine. Elijah looked down at the viscet, who was unconscious from the fall. He then picked up the viscet in his paws, and took off into the air, finding somewhere to take shelter for the day.
