AND INTO THE FOREST I GO, TO LOOSE MY MIND AND FIND MY SOUL
clearing; a beautiful meadow like area with filtered sunlight and plenty of shade leaving the tribe hidden from above while in this area. This area is also known as the safe area if they was to be an aerial attack the tribe would evacuate to this shaded meadow since it would be impossible for the aerial attack to penetrate the dense brush covering above. The only way to enter the clearing is by foot.
meeting area; a rocky outcropping with direct access through a tunnel to the clearing. The dense foliage provides cover but also a high point for the lead mice to address the tribe. The tribe also gathers here every full moon for an update of sorts and will also gather here in the event of anything major occurring within the tribe. Major announcements are also spoken here with the chosen mouse situated on the rock the leaders would normally stand on. You may enter here on foot or through the air.
river; a flowing river with fast points and slow points down its trek through the tribe's territory. Thick mossy banks catch the water and allow the mice to carry water back to the tribes central point using the moss as collectors. Large rocks also allow the mice to bathe and swim to their pleasing in the more calming ends of the river. If a mouse was to get caught in the current they would be capable of keeping themselves from drifting away by using the moss along the bank which is easy to grip onto or the rocks in the river. You may enter here on foot or in the air but aerial travel is difficult along the river.
food storage; the food storage is a series of tunnels located underground to protect the food and prevent spoilage and thievery. Food here is then taken to the meeting area when it is time to eat each morning and night. Extra critical supplies such as herbs, hard to find berries or sometimes bedding can be stored in separate chambers than the edible food. Moss balls filled with water are also attached to the walls of the tunnels to be drank then placed back there to collect the water dripping from the top of the moss. Trenches are dug under all of the bottom moss to catch the water and return it to a tree's routes outside the main tunnels. The only way to access the tunnels is by foot but aerial travel into the food storage clearing is hard to navigate but not impossible.
dens; small holes in the ground all located in a circle are homes for each of the mice groups. Leaders have their own individual dens as opposed to sharing a den like the rest of the mice. Boarder runners have a medium sized den with a vine covered entrance. It is pretty light in their den as there are holes in the roof that filter in sunlight. Watch mice have dark dens since their eyes have to be good enough to see in the dark. Boulders line the watch mice den entrance. food gatherers have a rather earthy den filled with soft soil and moss clumps to sleep on. Thickly clumped soil marks the entrance to the food gatherers den since they have to work in the tunnels at the food storage along with going out and collecting food. Builders have a medium sized decently lit den with moss clumps covering the walls to keep them warm. Mentors have a comfortable den with plenty of filtered sunlight than can be covered by thick leaves to cause it to be shady. They have soft clumps of any vegetation that can be used as bedding and live life comfortably. Pups and nursery doers share the same den as it is the nursery. This den is filled with all sorts of bedding making everything comfortable for the pups along with thick soft dirt roads for the nursery doers to travel on and up and they have moss lining the walls along with vines covering the entrance to the den to shelter them from strong winds.

THERE IS ALWAYS AN ADVENTURE WAITING IN THE WOODS
leaders; 1/4
Usually the oldest, wisest, smartest, or most experienced of the tribe. There are 4 leaders, when one dies the remaining leaders choose another tribe member to take the place of the deceased one.
boarder runners; 0/~
These are the quickest mice, trained to patrol the borders swiftly, also without being seen.
To be a border runner one must have stamina as well as speed.
watch mice; 0/~
These mice are specially trained to jump and twirl through the air, leaping up and down on a tree stump to survey the area and watch for predators. This is no ordinary stump, though. It has been carefully hollowed out, and covered with a delicately woven grass mat. The insides of this log are carved with murals, tales of bravery, honour and heroism.
Watch mice have powerful hind legs, and must be able to leap as high as 5 tail lengths from the ground.
The role of the watch mouse is very important, crucial to the safety of all members of the tribe.
Many watch mice also have incredible dancing skills, when the tribe is celebrating the appointing of a new leader or mentor it is not uncommon to find these graceful mice twirling through the air with grass ribbons, or shiny objects they find attached to their tails for an added effect. They love to entertain their tribe members.
food gatherers; 0/~
These mice must have large mouths, sharp teeth, and a good sense of smell.
They must also learn the difference between poisonous berries and plants, and safe ones.
Some weave baskets from dried grass, and therefore can carry more food.
The food gatherers must also be strong, and willing to work long hours to provide food for their tribe.
healers; 0/~
The healers are mice who certainly know their stuff - they learn how to use the natural medicine that nature provides for them.Broken bones, ripped ears, wounds, these mice will most certainly have a poultice or some bitter herbs to heal their tribemates.
builders; 0/~
Builders are, well, builders. They construct the food storages, dig tunnels, and create sleeping places for their ever growing tribe. The ideal builder has strong shoulders, wide paws, and can see in the dark reasonably well.
A good tribe ideally has at least 3 builders, as work is almost always being needed on their villages.
mentors; 0/~
These mice are the best at what they do.
They train the youngsters in whichever task they are best suited for, and help support the leaders.
pups; 0/~
When a baby mouse reaches 20 days old, they are ready to start their training.
The first week of their training is easy - observing and having a go at each role in the tribe,
to help them decide what they want to do. Each pup gets to decide which role they will play.
They can choose any role, except leader.
nursery doers; 0/~
These are the mothers of the future tribe, and are well looked after.
They get first pick of all food, and are allowed to eat whenever they want.
They usually have from 2-9 babies in a litter, though not all may survive.

THE EARTH HAS MUSIC FOR THOSE WHO LISTEN
name: fern
pronounced: ff-rr-n
gender: female
age: 7 years
rank: leader
tribe: Tribe of Pine
sexuality: heterosexual; has no love interest but might be attracted eventually
scent: moss; from her bedding, pine; from her home, blue berries; from her favorite food
fur: yellowish white with brown splotches lining her back and a furred brown tail with pink paws and a pink lower muzzle
eyes: a beautiful clear green with a darker rim
build: thin and quick, fern before becoming leader used to be a boarder runner. She has a thin coat and is quick and stealthy on her paws she is also very healthy and knows how to manage situations with her experience.
hopes: to one day pass her knowledge off to a mouse that she can trust
favorites: rain, running, mud, dirt and the water
dislikes: fighting, large predators and food shortages
personality: fern is a kind mouse with a big heart, she would never purposefully hurt another mouse emotionally or physically but knows how to get tough and serious when it's needed. She's a goofball and jokes around a lot with her fellow mice hoping to make herself more apart of the group rather than an untouchable leader who you should be afraid to speak to.
Fern led remnants of her tribe after a large falcon attack in their old home to their new home within the tribe of pine. She was nervous at first and overwhelmed but with the help of the other mice she remained strong and continued on to see her tribe grow and prosper. She worked hard each day to grow their camp and eventually get a successful home for her weakened tribe. She made sure to pick a spot that would be harder for aerial birds to reach and the falcon attack is what sprouted her hatred for avian life. She lost her father and her mother to the falcon and vows that if a bird takes another life it will be her sacrificing herself for one of her tribe members instead of just watching them all fall around her.
parents:
rose; a white splotched mouse with green eyes
tarnish; a brown splotched mouse with blue eyes
siblings:
none
mate: none
pups: none
