P E R S O N A L I T Y
Serena has always carried a mysterious, dark demeanor. One that no one could ever
truly or fully explain. She had a cynical outlook on the world, and remained stoic th
roughout hardships. Despite this she loves and cares deeply for her family, to the po
int where she would truthfully do just about anything to save them. This includes he
r fiancé. Serena always spoke the truth, known to be rather straightforward whether
it be beneficial or hurtful. She'd always meet your gaze with a cold glare paired with
that of a scowl. Though as expected, this would soften around those she was fond of.
Nobody, not even the love of her life, knew where she'd received the necklace. Fortu
nately, everyone was well aware not to question her. Both feared but also the definiti
on of stubborn. Friends were an especially rare case when it came to Serena. She ofte
ntimes preferred to keep to herself, and as a child quickly learned to hold her tongue.
This then lead to her remaining quiet in school. Doing what was asked of her, sitting al
one, and then arriving home. Where she'd remain until night fell and she scurried off, i
nto that of the outlawed forest. Somewhere where she felt an odd connection. Likely
due to the similar manner of each. Only those who bothered to search would find the b
eauty within. Though she'd forgotten, looks can be deceitful.

After death, she grew vengeful of the old hag who placed the curse on her. Vowing to not only find her lost fiancé,
but also that of the one who killed her. Imprisoned within time, and left with only the remains of a crumbling wed
ding. She now roams the forsaken forest, vengeful, desperate, and insane. Unable to escape a realm where she's l
eft with no one but herself, and the constant reminder that she'll never see him again. Her wedding dress long tat
tered and stained with that of her own blood. The things she'd failed to see now put into place. A harsh reality, of
a deceived girl. Still, she hopelessly travels among the vegetation. Screaming his name while cursing out the witch
who deliberately ended her life. Tricked and mocked her, then finished her off by locking her in time. A dark and u
nescapable abyss.

It had been my wedding day. My few friends and family gathered 'round, speaking with shades of excitement.
I was often asked why, out of all places I could have a wedding, I chose the forest. With the crisp air and
stench of pine forming an unexplainable aroma. Though only I truly knew why. Not even my soon-to-be
husband was aware. Back when I was young, this was a place known to be forbidden. For there were rumors
of an abandoned cabin that withheld the unknown. I was a curious being, and as a result snuck into the
outlawed area which held an eerie aura. The cabin I never found, so I continued to go deeper into its arms
each night. Until I came across the dreaded place. My glossy blue eye's reflected the debris of what once
was a home. The door, opened only by the unexpected gust of wind. Everything about the place screamed
"leave at once". Though I, reckless and curious, went in. There the old woman stood, with creases which had
long since formed on her face and sunken eyes. I didn't scream within the heat of the moment, even more fearful
she'd see me before I fled. Though little did I know she had long been aware of my presence. With a bony paw
she reached out to me and whispered my name, ushering for me to step nearer. I gathered my courage and
stepped forward, finally meeting her gaze. One that was as cold as ice. "You've come, my child," she
croaked. At the time I never fully understood what she was saying, though she reached for my small paw
and gently placed a carved necklace I wear to this day. "For those who see me shall never forget me, take
this, though be warned, a curse is now placed." With that, she disappeared. The cabin remained still and
the once crackling fire grew silent. I was left with questions which would never be answered. Richocheting
throughout my head and lurking in the corners of my mind. Sometimes, it was as though I could feel her there.
Watching me. Waiting. For what? I never knew. Each day I wore the necklace, despite not making any official
promise. She'd given it to me for a reason which I could never explain or fully understand. Though the day
came, and with it, the realization of what she had been trying to tell me.

in love with a ghost - flowers feat. nori

───────────────────────────────────── ☾ ● ☽ ──────────────────────────────────────
I had yet to walk down the aisle. My long flowing locks of black hair pulled into a braid which then laced
into a bun. Cold blue eyes brought out with just the right amount of smokey black eye shadow. Thick lashes curled
and paired with a hint of mascara. The white dress stood out against my dark appearance. Elegant and fit for
that of a queen. The veil was carefully placed amongst my head. It was now nearly time for me to gather my
composure and walk down the aisle, into the arms of my lover. I could hear the chattering of what could only
be my close ones speaking. Even a few unexpected screams of enthusiasm here and there. With help, I pulled
on the dress and immediately those around me fell silent. Eyes laid upon the woman who could never be seen
as beautiful, charming, or desirable. One of them was even taken aback. I couldn't help but admire myself,
pleased with how everything had come together. I receive more than a few compliments from those around me.
Afterward, they usher each other out to allow my arrival. I reach for the white bouquet of flowers, taking in the
the smell of roses which wafted throughout the room. In that moment, I'd never felt such an abrupt rush of
emotions throughout the course of my life. All of which were unpredictable. Though these emotions are put to
rest when I feel an intense pain. Falling to the floor, I hack up what can only be blood. Spewing the warm liquid
onto the wooden floor beneath me. I begin crawling out into the crowd, desperately clinging to life. I hear wild
shouts and screams of panic though only recognize the familiar face of my fiancé. Muffled sobs erupt from him
as he grows painfully aware I cannot be saved. With no sort of medical help available, I'm left to wretch and
cough what little life left within me out. His hand caressing my hair and tears pelting my face. I have only the
energy to watch and hold carefully onto the last words of his I will hear. Drowning out the crowd, I strictly
focus on him. The necklace falls from around my neck and to the forest floor. He leans down and kisses me
once more before I give in. With one last ragged breath, my eyes slide shut and I fall into the empty abyss of
darkness.

i feel like i'm going to cry - R L I F E
─────────────────────────────── ☾ ● ☽ ────────────────────────────────
I now see her again, grinning and holding the necklace which is now transformed into a clock. Rocking back and
forth. Though it stopped at what could only be the exact time of my death. She stopped swaying it back and forth,
meeting my gaze with a menacing glare. "Your time has run out, my dear," she cackled. I now saw her wedding
dress which illuminated under the bright light. Now, I stood amidst the rubble of my wedding. Empty chairs, flowers
long dead, and vegetation which had taken over. I scream his name hopelessly. Though I'm responded with nothingness.
That's when I began to piece everything together. The curse which was placed, the necklace, the old woman. Once she
placed it, I would die on my wedding day. No prevail of overcoming what had been done. The same happened to her.
The wedding dress she wore, it was a sign. One that, as a child, I had failed to notice. The necklace withheld the
curse. Sobbing, I sink to the muddy terrain beneath me. Looking down at the white gown I would forever be trapped
within. Hysterical, I got up and began running. Tearing and ripping at the delicate fabric. My hair catching on branches.
When I finally regain myself I appear mad. One that, if they had any brain at all, would veer away from. The
necklace I reach for though find is gone. Recalling how I'd felt it slide down my chest. I call his name again, painfully.
Though still nothing is returned. Only the lurking emptiness, rage, and sorrow. I stalk throughout the forest for awhile
longer, still hopeful he'll show up. Pull me into his loving embrace and remind me that it'll be alright. Though this isn't
the case. I feel desperate and vulnerable. Sounding like a young child calling for their mother. Unable to fend for
themselves in a cruel world. I head into the abandoned building where I had gotten prepared. Looking into the mirror
and jumping back when I stare into my lifeless and ghostly eyes. A pure, misty white. My presumption being this is
only another effect of the curse. One I'll be confined to as I lurk throughout the forgotten forest. Searching, trying to
reach, for someone who can't be found. I silently run my paw over the soft though dirtied fabric.
Smiling in an almost insane way as I recall his last words to me. I promise we'll meet again, my love. I mutter
softly before running back into the arms of the forbidden forest. Where I continue to lurk to this day, unable to be
found.
