Hi! We are fast approaching one of my favorite times of the year,
so I thought I'd host a writing contest to commemorate that :>

This contest will last until the 25th of October, and winners will be
chosen before the end of the month. There will be prizes for 1st,
2nd and 3rd place. There will be three prompts to choose from.

Please read all rules and supplementary info before posting or
submitting an entry, and feel free to PM me with any questions!

Rules

1. All CS rules apply
2. One submission per user
3. All forms of literature (poetry, prose, etc) are allowed
4. Entries submitted after October 25th will not be accepted
5. No word limit, but please make your entry a reasonable length
6. Entries are judged based on creativity, writing, and how well they incorporated the prompt

How you want to incorporate these prompts is up to you! I wanted
to make them pretty broad, while still relating to the month of October!

Oops, I just realized there's a mistake with one of the prizes. First place shouldn't have doubles of the same dragon, there should be one that's different (so four different ones). Sorry I'll fix that when I have access to desktop :>

Haha it's really bad, but i hope you like it lol

Leaves. Small and fragile, like you and I. They dance in the wind and then fall, hitting the ground with a small swish. When you think about it, we're all leaves. We have one great moment, and then we fall and become just another lifeless being.

Swish, swish.

I walked outside, feeling the wind against my face as I walked to the mailbox.

Swish, swish.

I grabbed the mail and trudged back inside. Setting it on the table, I looked outside and saw my favorite tree. Its big branches swayed. I sipped my now-cold hot cocoa that was sitting on my table, and turned back to the window.

Swish, swish.

I shrugged and went outside once more, jumping on the tree and climbing until I found a sturdy branch to sit on. I plucked a small orange leaf off the branch and examined it. I smiled.

Swish, swish.
