Tyr was the thunder that followed the lightning. As flashes of tyranny sent shocks through the Viking world, it was the xxxrattle of Tyr's battle cry that brought with it an eerie, unexpected silence. The old king had fallen, and with him went the xxxyears of oppression and unfit rule; in his place stood a new, previously unheard of Viking with a mane befitting of Garmr: xxxTyr Sigurdsson, the Ragnarok-Bringer.

Aside from being labelled as a "Ragnarok-Bringer", Tyr has received many other nicknames- one of the most prominent xxxbeing þǫgn, or "silence." This title has been earned through Tyr's uncanny disposition- regarded as a top warrior among xxxVikings (Hersir), Tyr immediately stood out from his fellow warriors in the fact that he rarely is compelled to utter a single xxxword unless absolutely necessary. Even in battle, Tyr relies on his Hersirs to relay information to the others, and refuses to xxxacknowledge or address an enemy. Others attribute the title to Tyr's emergence into the Viking world; before taking his xxxreign as king, Tyr was vastly unknown among the community. Only few have dared to speak of Tyr prior to his position, and xxxwhat is said about his past is typically regarded as nonsensical ramblings. One person is even said to have compared Tyr to xxxthe gods, stating that he was sent by Odin to give new life to their people. Of course, no such claims have ever been xxxbacked by anything other than speculation.

In reality, Tyr's upbringing was a humble one- the son of farmers, Tyr was raised in a discreet Viking village that has xxxsince been wiped away in war. Before the tragedy, however, Tyr had held no plans of becoming a Viking- rather, he was xxxcontent with following in the footsteps of his farmer father. It wasn't until the previous king declared war on Tyr's village xxxthat he began to feel the cold grasp of Odin tugging at his Viking blood. After the passing of ten years, once the king's xxxcorruption had come to light throughout the various communities, Tyr saw his chance to avenge his parents, his home, and xxxhis previous life. By Viking customs, the one who overthrows the king is inherently the next king. This was not at all a part xxxof Tyr's plan, however, and he has grown to resent his position. Still, he has proven to be a fearless and innovative leader, xxxoffering his people a brighter and more expansive future.

In the time between the destruction of his village and his overthrowing the throne, Tyr spent his days in training. xxxPreferring to use an axe, it didn't take long for Tyr to become a skilled warrior. However, his resentful nature acted as a xxxbarrier between him and the rest of society, earning him a cold and dismissive personality and view towards others.

The land Tyr was born into, though small, offered lush and healthy vegetation of various sorts.
Vibrant greens, yellows, pinks, blues, and everything in between were scattered throughout the land,
adding an air of life to the small, often forgotten village. Indeed, it is hard to believe that such a
beautiful and enchanting land could ever be overlooked, even in spite of its small size. The soil
offered bountiful harvests which could support the community for years at a time. Additionally,
large ash trees and vast fields near the outskirts of the village offered plenty of room for Tyr to
play and explore as a child, allowing his imagination to run wild as he dashed from yellow azaleas
to lady orchids to tassle flowers. Growing up the son of a farmer, he learned to admire and
identify the flowers native to his homeland, as well as their medicinal purposes.

By far one of Tyr's favorite landmarks of his home village was a particular ash tree that
stood out from the rest. Reaching far nearer to the sky than the others, Tyr often gazed in
wonder at its sheer size. From the time he was a child, he would dream of climbing the
giant, reaching the top, and gazing at the rest of the world. It soon became a challenge
for him, and each day he would rush to the tree, which he lovingly named faðir (father)
to see if he could climb just a little bit higher that day- and each day he would.
However, Tyr never got to climb to the top of the tree, for it was lost with the
rest of the village on the day that the old king attacked.

One of Tyr's favorite native animals to his homelands is the wolf. On many nights,
Tyr would sneak out of his bed, bringing with him a large fur pelt for warmth.
The echoes of wolves crying through the night would soon pierce the air,
filling Tyr with a sense of belonging and home. On many occasions, Tyr's
mother would waken to find him sprawled out in front of the house,
tucked beneath the fur pelts and sound asleep.

It is said that on the day Tyr arrived as the new king, the sky went completely dark. Some witnesses
swear that it was due to a conspiracy of ravens that appeared from seemingly nowhere. In Viking lore,
the raven is said to be a messenger for Odin, or perhaps even Odin himself taking form in Midgard.
Either way, ravens have been spotted on numerousoccasions ever since Tyr arrived, which had been
extremely rare beneath the reign of the old king; this has lead some to believe that Tyr is connected
to the gods.

The land in which Tyr now resides is somewhat separated from the rest of the Viking world.
Choosing to stay in a small cabin surrounded by swamp lands, it requires a lengthy and tiring
trek to reach him, which is exactly to his liking. Tyr has become somewhat of a hermit in his
home,opting only to leave when necessary, unless to explore the surrounding swampy areas.
However,his new home does not offer the same vegetation or life that his original home did,
which bringshim great sadness. Here, the plants are dull and the water is murky- the animals
hide and the sun does not reach the earth as it did before.

By far, Tyr's most treasured possession is the garden which he has, both indoors and out.
The garden has allowed him to bring some of the plants that he remembers from his
home lands. Tyr takes absolute care when tending to his plants, and values them
above most. However, Tyr tends to keep his ownership of his garden a secret, as
he fears that others may steal from or ruin it.

While Tyr does not currently reside in the main lands of Vikings, he does have authority over them and has made many visits to check on his people. The main lands, which are separated into 4 distinct parts, include Naðrland (the North), which is ruled by Earl Haldor, Rúmfold (the West) which is ruled by Earl Colden, Brýnnfold (the East) which is ruled by Earl Osborn, and Ástbiǫð (the South) which is ruled by Earl Þórdís.





Naðrland is largely regarded as the "heart" of the main lands; despite its name, the land stretches from the top to the middle of the 4 districts, where there is an overlap between the lands. Covered mostly in fields, the people of Naðrland are usually clad in warmer furs and pelts in order to fight off the winds that rise from the sea, which wraps around the top of land. Despite being covered in large fields, however, Naðrland's soil is dry and virtually useless, which prevents much farming. Thus, the people rely on fishing and hunting for their food. Most hunting occurs in a large forest on the eastern side of Naðrland, which acts as a border between Naðrland and Brýnnfold.





Rúmfold's landscape is similar to that of Naðrland, being covered in vast fields. However, the soil is far healthier in Rúmfold, which allows for heavy farming- in fact, Rúmfold is considered the main agricultural port. The people of Rúmfold are also seen wearing warmer clothing, though the climate isn't quite as cold. Farming is the main income of food for the citizens of Rúmfold, though they rely on trading between the rest of the main lands in order to get meat and fish. Because of the close proximity and desire for trade, Rúmfold and Naðrland are close allies.





To the east is the land of Brýnnfold, which is regarded as the swamp lands. The landscape of Brýnnfold is almost entirely swamps,
though there are woodlands to the northern border (the border with Naðrland) as well as the southern border (the border with Ástbiǫð.) There is also the sea, which wraps around the eastern side of Brýnnfold, though the land bordering the sea is generally regarded as being unsafe, which has cut Brýnnfold off from the water. Thus, Brýnnfold relies on a tentative and often times challenged alliance with Naðrland, due to an ongoing scuffle with the people of Rúmfold. Brýnnfold, however, is a closer ally to the people of Ástbiǫð than any of the other main lands, which allows access to more woodlands. The people of Brýnnfold usually wear lighter clothing, as the swamps create a humid and warmer climate.





Ástbiǫð is considered the "troublemaker" lands. In conflicts with both Naðrland and Rúmfold, Ástbiǫð relies solely on a mutual agreement with Brýnnfold for trading. However, Ástbiǫð does have access to the sea, and being covered with heavy forests,
Ástbiǫð brings in copious amounts of fish and meat. Having a warmer climate than both Naðrland and Rúmfold, the people of Ástbiǫð usually wear lighter clothing- nights, however, do tend to get chilly due to drafts from the sea. The leadership of Ástbiǫð,
under the rule of Earl Þórdís, is vastly corrupt, which has lead to many internal and external conflicts- because of this, the stability of Ástbiǫð is dwindling, which is one of Tyr's major concerns.
