Where they live: Along the beach in southern Rhode Island, though he used to live in Ontario, Canada in his childhood. Most of his (adoptive) family still lives there.

In short, he needed some distance from his hometown. He needed to be somewhere that was conveniently near, but somewhere he could enjoy his life without being reminded of his past constantly. He wanted to be somewhere he could enjoy his life but still stay connected to those he cared about.
It was a difficult transition making the move, as he grew up living close to the majority of his dear (adoptive) family members, and he knew that once he moved he would no longer be a walk away from his parents house and his younger sister. However, it was for the best. He was sure of it, and he made it work.
His new home in Rhode Island was a small, bright house in a quiet neighborhood that rested near to a decently well-known beach location. Every summer, things would get a bit hectic and traffic would rise, but his estate was private enough that he didn't mind. It was good for the local economy as well, and being that he ran a jewelry and beach shop nearby it was honestly, if anything, convenient.
It was the perfect location for him to fulfill his personal dreams, and he did well with keeping in contact with his family. At his current age of 37, he's doing well with himself and keeping a level head. He's happy where he is, location wise and in general.
