i knew i was one of many in this community, but that could hardly ever stop me. i was young, i knew who i liked, and i was full of inspiration to run my shop. my fashion shop! i was so excited. and, half of my profit goes to those in need! all i had was a little shop between huge businesses, but that's merely for now. i really hope my business goes and gets popular. taking in a deep breath, i quickly walk in carrying my umbrella and book bag, which had all of my current materials in it. this is it, laurie, this is the time of your life. make clothes, hopefully sell them, and profit goes to those in need. don't hold back now. this is for those in need. entering the currently empty shop, my heart sinks a little. it's so.. bland. i don't.. it's not.. but then the gears in my head turn, and i know exactly what to do. i set down my cup that was full of iced coffee on the ring up counter, and do a little dance. this'll be perfect! beautiful wallpaper, ooh! a chandelier! oh, i just can't wait to get started on my shop! but.. a name. hmm.. it's perfect! laurie's lovelies.

finally. it's complete. laurie's lovelies. so, hi! i know it's been a while. i see you finally came back for the story! this was day nine of my success. it's perfect. laurie's lovelies. this is really happening. i wanna dance my heart out. i really do hope it gets around. i hope i hope i hope. nearly everyone i see passes it, which makes my hope go down a little. after a full day of nothing but messing around and drinking iced coffee, finally, someone comes in.
hi! my name's laurie, how can i help you? i may seem calm on the outside, but on the inside, fireworks everywhere. i'm just uh.. gonna look around. it seems nice. maybe buy something for my girlfriend. he says quietly, and i quickly nod, my curly pink hair bouncing around a bit. sorry, i'm just really excited for this! my first customer!

he's window shopping for now, looking at the dresse and skirts. i soon become a bit nervous. does he not like them? the nervousness soon really gets to me, and i step into the back through the light pink curtain, with a sign that says employees only on it. i sip a bit of my iced coffee, trying not to freak out. i look at my unfinished works and sigh a bit. it's nothing to be nervous about. hello? oh thank goodness! he's still here! i step out, seeing him holding two dresses and a box. i'd uh.. like to check out. a smile spreads across my face and i get behind the counter. that'll be.. 58.37. he hands me three twenties, saying keep the change. okay, that's thirty dollars for me, and thirty dollars for the whole reason i started this.

oh, just remembering it makes me want to cry. it was the end of the day and time to close up shop. i saw a mother and child come in. the child looked so sweet, and the mother looked like she needed new clothes. they had holes, and they looked dirty and tattered. welcome.. is there anything you're looking for i ask, my eyes pooling with worry. the lady tells her child to go and find something she likes. she came up to the counter, telling me that she could only afford something for her child, but she needed new clothes for the coming winter. ma'am, laurie's lovelies is all about helping those in need. i'll buy something for you. i say, holding her hand. tears come to her eyes, and she blesses me for my kindness. though, it was all of what i taught myself. to care for those.

hey all!! i'm so excited for this kalon. she's very adorable and i'm really excited for whoever wins her. the contest is said to end the third, and whew, am i full of excitement. i took three hours on this drawing apparently. [the timer is probably lying, like always.]
anyway, this story was really hard to write, as i had spent three hours just trying to think of it.

i really hope i win this girl. she's just.. so.. ahhhhh!
anyway, i'll see you all again when the winner is announced the first.
