Hikaru is a warm-hearted Viscet who fits the role of the Sun Guardian perfectly. Loving, accepting, and ever so curious, it's a wonder how he is even related to his two sisters, Tsukiko and Hoshi, the Moon and Star Guardians, respectively. Their fragile detachment from the world just ends up making Hikaru stand out more, and as someone who can simply never give enough back to the world, the male Viscet receives little in return.
While the sun is perceived to be dominant over the moon, Hikaru actually has a more timid personality and would rather do what he is told than make his own choices. However, when it comes to his family members, Hikaru would gladly strip away any layers of hesitation and step forward to steer the wheel. Whenever either the Moon or Star Guardians disappear for an extended period of time, Hikaru would go ballistic with worry. If he had the power to destroy the world, he would do so if it meant recovering his beloved sisters, as a doting older brother should.
Although Hikaru is a very easy-going Viscet, he can be rather stubborn as well. He refuses to give in to unreasonable demands, and just like the sun, he can either take his time settling down or adjust as quick as lightning. However, as stubborn as he is, Hikaru dislikes seeing others hurt, especially if the harm is caused through words. Because of this, the Sun Guardian will more than likely back off than cause a verbal dispute if his opponent is just as stubborn as he is. Hikaru doesn't get along too well with other Viscets who are as compassionate and caring to those who are important to him because of that spark of competition to see who can be the Viscet that is liked more.
Because of his close affiliation with the sun, it makes sense that Hikaru would be quite energetic, although it still remains a question to why he isn't always so chipper. Hikaru claims that his energy spikes depend on the season and how many hours of daylight a mortal Viscet gets from the earth realm. Because things like the northern and southern hemispheres exist, Hikaru gets his energy from the southern hemisphere, where it is winter in June, July, and August and summer in December, January, and February. The concept of seasons still confuse the male Viscet somewhat, but Hikaru understands that the earth realm is spinning on an axis, therefore there will be areas that lean towards the sun at certain times of the year.
If Hikaru were to list one fatal flaw, that flaw would be his trust. He is very gullible, and cannot tell the truth from the lie. It's not that Hikaru is dense, but rather too believing in the Viscets that he thinks he can trust. This often leads to disputes and misunderstandings, much to Hikaru's disappointment. This particular trait greatly contrasts Tsukiko, who seems to be unable to trust. Hoshi is somewhere in the middle, but is edging towards Tsukiko's point of view. However, the three are very close and are able to set aside their trust flaws and wholeheartedly believe each other without any fears of being deceived.
All in all, Hikaru is your typical nice guy who is pretty much incapable of hurting a butterfly even if he had the power to do so. His compassion for everyone and everything, even for criminals, remain steadfast, and will continue to be.

The sun, moon, & stars |☼| Relationship w/ Tsukiko and Hoshi

╒═════════════════════════════════════════════════╕
Hikaru has two sisters, both who he loves dearly. While he claims to be an adoring older brother, Hoshi would describe the male as
"clingy" and often times "annoying", which the Sun Guardian can be when separated from either of his sisters for too long. As the Sun,
Moon, and Star Guardians, they are unable to have much time to themselves, but when they do, they make good use of this time. Even
if Tsukiko and Hoshi wouldn't admit to loving Hikaru as much, Hikaru does the loving for them.

It is hard getting to know someone like Tsukiko, but as her older twin brother who has known her longer
than anyone else in the world, it is Hikaru's duty to get her to open up more. As the more secluded twin,
few from her circle of acquaintances are let into her thoughts, and when we think of the entire galaxy
and its guardians, it is a lot of Viscets that Tsukiko chooses to reject. No one is sure of what prompted
Tsukiko to act in such a manner, and as the caring older brother he is, Hikaru will ask, and will back away
on Tsukiko's wishes.
For whatever reason, Tsukiko is prone to having dark thoughts, and Hikaru is always there for her. As the
moon, darkness is needed to be able to shine, but that light from the sun is required to be visible for the
naked eye. Tsukiko is the moon, her thoughts are the darkness, and Hikaru would be her sun. The two are
interdependent, as the two siblings rely on each other. Hikaru needs Tsukiko to take over the sky when
the sun sets, and Tsukiko needs Hikaru when the moon is chased away by the first rays of sunlight.
Emotionally wise, Hikaru is the more stable of the two, and is always ready to share that positive energy
with Tsukiko.
Even if she chooses to not show her feelings, Hikaru has gotten the female to open up to both him and
Hoshi, and is able to confirm that the two would always be there.

Hikaru feels nothing but affection and protectiveness for his youngest sister, Hoshi. Forever stuck in a PPS-
like state, it is easy for Hoshi to be picked on by the higher-ups, and the Star Guardian doesn't have all of
the defense mechanisms that adult Viscets would normally have. Even if Hoshi insists that she can take care
of herself with the Sun Guardian's help, Hikaru would be stuck in his way of thinking that his younger
sister has to be protected at all costs, and nothing Hoshi says will make Hikaru change his mind.
Because Hoshi's emotions fluctuate a lot, it can be hard for the over-affectionate Hikaru to predict her
actions, therefore making it difficult to know when it is an appropriate time for the male to glomp the star
patterned Viscling. Hikaru already knows that Hoshi finds him annoying at the best of times, but that
doesn't deter the cheerful Sun Guardian. Instead, he'll either end up trying harder or stop for the time being
because Hikaru knows that pushing the Star Guardian off the edge is a very bad choice among bad choices.
Having experienced Hoshi's mood swings and temper tantrums, Hikaru knows that this is one thing that he
does not want to make Hoshi do again.
Nonetheless, Hoshi is as much of a tsundere as Tsukiko is, really. Hikaru isn't bothered by his sisters'
unwillingness to any sort of affection, and it's perfectly fine for the cheerful male to ramble on about his
current life to his two sisters, even if they aren't listening too closely.

Hoshi's sentence |☼| Chapter 1

Postby ✦ nemuri » Tue Mar 07, 2017 9:55 pm

Image

"No... No! You've got to be kidding me..." Pale green eyes open wide with horror and shock, Hikaru's paws had paused in their work of rearranging coloured ceramic tiles. Flinching backwards from the smaller Viscet, the Sun Guardian started to tremble uncontrollably. "Do you realize how torn Tsukiko is going to be, Hoshi?! How, how-" Breaking in the middle of his sentence, Hikaru let out a shaky exhale before raising his head to look into the scared yet defiant eyes of his youngest sister. "What did you do to upset the higher-ups so much? They should be pretty lenient most of the time... It is extreme that they... They..." Unable to continue his sentence, the Sun Guardian inhaled sharply.
Closing her silver eyes, Hoshi twitched her tail uneasily. "I didn't do anything except talk back to one of the elders. They had it coming, though. They were wrong, and they refused to believe it. I just set them straight, isn't that the right thing to do?"
Letting out a groan, Hikaru let his head drop into his paws. "That's not the point here, Hoshi! You're going to have your title stripped away, and sent to the earth realm! We'll have no way of contacting you! Even if Tsukiko doesn't care, I will! And I know that Tsukiko cares!" Standing up, Hikaru gulped. "We're gonna have to find a way to break it to Tsukiko. Hoshi, this is seriously one of the stupidest things that you've ever done."
"Break what to me?" Tsukiko called out, rounding the corner to face the Sun and Star Guardians. Hikaru flinched guiltily, as Hoshi glanced down at her reflection on the spotless linoleum floors. Frowning at the lack of response from the two, Tsukiko tilted her head and let out a small huff. "Seriously, what is it? It can't be that bad, can it?"
As Hikaru opened his mouth to reply to the restless Moon Guardian, a shadow fell over the three figures. "Hoshi. Why are you still here? You should be packing." Unable to keep the anger out of his voice, the Viscet who had been speaking stepped out into the light and glared at the Viscling. "You have caused enough damage. It is about time that you left the heavens."
Choking slightly in shock, Tsukiko flinched and reared back. "What the hell?" Ignoring the warning look that she received from Hikaru, the Moon Guardian stalked up to Hoshi, fire burning as plain as day in her eyes. "What is he talking about? This is a joke isn't it? It's not funny! Joking about leaving the heavens isn't funny, you of all Viscets should know that, Hikaru!" Pausing at the solemn look on Hikaru's face, Tsukiko paled. "This... This isn't a joke at all, isn't it..."
Taking a step back in disbelief, Tsukiko turned tail and left, her walking pace bordering on a run. Hoshi's face filled with regret, as Hikaru remained frozen in his place, his green eyes flashing with emotions that words cannot convey. "Hoshi... You should go and apologize to her."
"Shut up, Hikaru," the Sun Guardian snapped, silver eyes glimmering in irritation. "I don't owe her anything. If anything, I bet she's glad to be rid of me. You're not my boss, so just butt out, will you?!" Stomping off in the other direction of Tsukiko, Hikaru could only watch helplessly as Hoshi stormed away. As he turned to face the elder Viscet that had reprimanded Hoshi, Hikaru let out a sigh as he realized that he had already disappeared.
Staring down at his paws, Hikaru frowned as he bent his head. Feeling the golden circlet tumble from his head and land at his paws, the Sun Guardian still didn't move. Breathing lightly, when his eyes met the large emerald embedded in the circlet, Hikaru realized how drastic things really were. Letting out a silent shriek of frustration, Hikaru swiped the circlet sideways, shaking as he heard the item slam against the wall. He had started to break out in a cold sweat, and the Sun Guardian raised a paw to rub at his forehead.
"How can this be...?" Hikaru murmured to himself, exhaling slowly. The fact that Hoshi had just been exiled was still so surreal to him. Although Hoshi was still there for the time being, it wouldn't be long until her public banishment. Every single Guardian would be there, presumably to laugh, or pretend to be sympathetic about Hoshi's sentence. That's the way it always was. They only cared about themselves, and didn't give a single damn about anyone else.

A few hours later, after the sun had set, the higher-ups called a conference meeting. Every single Guardian was required to attend, and with a heavy heart, Hikaru understood that it was most likely about Hoshi's exile. He wasn't sure if Tsukiko would end up going, but he knew that unless the Moon Guardian wanted to follow the same path as their younger sister, she'd best attend the meeting.
Making his way slowly towards the conference room, Hikaru's throat constricted painfully as he saw Hoshi's thin frame surrounded by larger Viscets. His first instinct was to go and protect the former Star Guardian, but severe consequences were surely to follow if he carried out his idea. As he turned his head, he could see Tsukiko standing further away. Hikaru wasn't sure of what Tsukiko was feeling, as the female wasn't very expressive, but he couldn't understand why she was standing so far away.
Hoshi was holding onto a leather bag, and her silver eyes, normally round and large with her child-like innocence, had narrowed into a flinty glare. The Viscets surrounding Hoshi said something Hikaru couldn't make out, but he saw the former Star Guardian nod her head, full of resolve. In that instant, a bright light surrounded the Viscling. The light hurt Hikaru's eyes so he looked away, but when he turned his head to search for Hoshi again, she was already gone from their world.

The Moon's Insecurities |☼| Chapter 2

Postby ✦ nemuri » Tue Mar 07, 2017 9:56 pm

Image

Hikaru inhaled shakily as he watched his twin sister get up and storm out of the room after being told off by an elder. Tsukiko was changing, the Sun Guardian could tell that much, and it was clear that the change wasn't a positive one. Annoying the higher-ups was always a bad choice, and Tsukiko seemed to be doing just that, and she would get upset at them for getting upset at her.
Smiling shakily at the older and unamused Viscet, Hikaru bowed his head and hurried out of the room to chase after Tsukiko. This wasn't normal in any circumstance, and he had to find out why. Hikaru had an inkling that it had to do with Hoshi's exile, but he couldn't be completely sure. There were many sides that one had to consider when thinking about Tsukiko. She was a complex Viscet to understand, after all.
Making his way down the halls, he caught sigh of the Moon Guardian's purple tail disappear over a corner. Frowning, Hikaru paused in his pursuit and stared down the halls. Since Hoshi's exile, everything had always seemed so dull, without the Viscling to lighten the mood. "She's suffering as well," Hikaru mumbled to himself, letting his tail thump against the ground. The silken fabric of the ornaments on his tail brushed lightly against his fur, and the Sun Guardian let out a sigh. "Why won't she admit it...? It's quite obvious, at least in my opinion."
Swishing his tail back and forth, Hikaru decided to go find Tsukiko after all. There was nothing for the Sun Guardian to take his mind off about the incident, and he needed the Moon Guardian, even if she didn't need him. Padding silently through the halls, he eventually found his younger sister rocking back and forth in a chair, her eyes wide. Her paws were clutching her head, and Hikaru knew that something was off.
"Tsukiko...! What's wrong?" Hikaru asked, trying to sound casual, but the shine in his eyes gave it away. When Tsukiko lifted her head to acknowledge her older twin brother, she pursed her lips together tightly and lowered her head so that she was staring at the glossy linoleum floors. "Tsukiko, come on, you can tell me! All I want to do is to help you, you know that, right?" Hikaru wasn't sure of what he could even do, but when it came to his family, he would attempt anything.
It was a shame that he couldn't do anything for Hoshi. Flinching at the memory slightly, the Sun Guardian shook his ahead and returned his attention to the Moon Guardian. Tsukiko didn't reply for a long while, and when she did, her voice was raspy and a slight tremor ran through it. "I'm scared. The heavens aren't doing its job correctly. How could they do that to Hoshi?"
Shaking her head, Tsukiko let out a sigh and turned around to face Hikaru. The sight of her sunken and empty eyes frightened the male, and as he started to open his mouth to comment on them, Tsukiko let out a harsh laugh. "No, no one else will do anything. They know that it's wrong, but they won't step forward to take charge. I'm not like them!" Raising a paw to brush against the tips of her wings, Tsukiko tilted her head to look at Hikaru. "Did you see how Hoshi's wings were ripped off? You came late; her agonized screams had filled the room. No, I should rephrase that... Her wings weren't ripped off, they were melded into her body. She no longer has wings, but rather markings that would remind her of the brilliance that she once had."
Adjusting the black silk draped around her shoulders, Tsukiko frowned at the stunned Sun Guardian. "You are so oblivious sometimes. Just watch me, I'll make the heavens right again. The first step is to eliminate those damn elders; they're so full of themselves. Hoshi was right in regards to speaking back to that particular elder. They've become so pompous that anything little critism will infuriate them." Clenching her fists together, Tsukiko's eyes narrowed as her winter blue eyes stared into the core of Hikaru's spring green eyes.
"Try to calm down, Tsukiko," Hikaru suggested softly, placing a warm paw on top of one of the Moon Guardian's paws. It felt cold to the touch, and the Sun Guardian shivered inwardly. She is just grieving, he tried to reason to himself, but Hikaru knew that this sudden hatred ran much deeper. "We may be separated for now, but we will eventually be reunited. Besides, if we don't in this life, we can always be reincarnated."
Tsukiko stood up suddenly, upturning the chair and glared at Hikaru with a sort of crazed frenzy in her eyes. "What if reincarnation doesn't exist? There's no legitimate proof! It feels like we're being torn from our family once again! Why does this has to happen?" Dropping her head in her paws again, the Moon Guardian's shoulders started to shake. "We never asked for this life. Why were we given this position? It has caused nothing but grief for us." Pausing in the middle of her speech, Tsukiko took a long and shaky exhale.
Giving his younger twin a mournful glance, Hikaru took several steps back, before leaving the room. There was nothing he could do to make Tsukiko feel better, and from personal experience, the Sun Guardian had learned that it was best to simply leave the Moon Guardian to do her brooding. "I'll give you some space, and I'll come back later, Tsukiko," Hikaru commented softly to himself, before nodding his head firmly. He had to be better sibling for the female. He would find a way to find Hoshi and rebuild the family that they used to be before they had been forcibly separated.

At least, that had been the initial plan. The entire situation had changed when Tsukiko had decided to make an attempt on one of the elders' lives.

The Final Judgement |☼| Chapter 3

Postby ✦ nemuri » Tue Mar 07, 2017 9:58 pm

Guardians were rushing around from everywhere, trying to attack Tsukiko. Hikaru could only stand off to the side, stunned, as Tsukiko brandished her scythe and advanced towards the elder that had given Hoshi her sentence. "Return Hoshi to us, you stupid prick!" Screaming in rage, Tsukiko tried to cut up the elder with her scythe, but the other Guardians rushed in to defend the elder.
At first, Hikaru was at a loss for words. What had prompted Tsukiko to do something as rash as attempting a murder on one of the most prestigious Guardians the heavens has ever known? However, the Sun Guardian already knew the answer; Tsukiko was furious at the elder for being the one to banish and strip away Hoshi's wings. Shuddering to himself and tracing a paw along the tips of his feathered wings, Hikaru gulped and stepped forward. "Tsukiko, please calm down! We can talk things through, it doesn't have to be this way!"
The words that the Moon Guardian had said next and the sneer that she plastered on her face as she looked at Hikaru was almost enough to break his heart. "You just don't understand anything, do you, dearest brother? You always think that kindness and peace will be enough, but no, it isn't. Sometimes, force is needed to get things through an idiot's skull." Dropping her scythe on the ground and lunging towards the elder, she bared her canines.
Gritting his teeth together in frustration, Hikaru could only watch as the other Viscets held down the Moon Guardian in quick succession. Seeing his twin sister subdued, the Sun Guardian made his way over to her. "Tsukiko... Why? You just broke apart our family even more!" Trembling with emotion, Hikaru inhaled and exhaled shakily. "Do you know what the consequences for your actions are? Let me tell you, it's the same as Hoshi's sentence!" Turning to face the elder who was still on the ground, Hikaru bowed. "Please excuse Tsukiko, she wasn't thinking straight!"
As the elder struggled to his feet, he exhaled before staring at Tsukiko straight in the eye, his lip curling into an ugly smile. "They are truly similar, no? Hoshi and Tsukiko both let their emotions determine who they are. However, in the order of the heavens, such actions are unacceptable." Clapping his paws together, the elder placed them on Tsukiko's wings, before pushing down on them at an unnatural angle.
Letting loose a ear-splitting shriek filled with pain and fear, Tsukiko's legs gave away to the pain and collapsed. The elder's paws started to glow, and the Moon Guardian's bones started to reform and alter at his will. Hikaru's eyes widened his disbelief, before shoving the elder aside before casting a desperate look at Tsukiko's face. "Stop it, that's enough!"
"It is most certainly not enough," the elder sneered, before pushing Hikaru off to the side. The Sun Guardian stumbled, and one of the elder's loyal acolytes caught him and gripped tightly so that Hikaru wasn't able to interfere. Continuing his onslaught of torture to the younger twin sister, the elder stepped back in satisfaction as Tsukiko's wings melded into his body as she lay at his paws, writhing in agony. "There we go. There is nothing truly disappointing about a Guardian who has had their wings stripped away."
Gasping, Tsukiko's claws scraped against the ground as she struggled to stand up, but she was held down by the other Guardians who were furious about her attempt on the elder's life. Devastated, Hikaru tried to push off the elder's acolyte but to no avail. "Perfect. Now begone, Tsukiko. Good riddance, I was waiting for this chance to finally be rid of you and your sister."
Two things happened the moment those words left the elder's mouth. The first was that Tsukiko's eyes had closed, and her body started to glow. The second was that she had abruptly vanished from sight. At this point tears were streaming down Hikaru's face as he pulled against the elder's acolyte, as he was released suddenly. Stumbling forward, the Sun Guardian soon found himself in the same position his sister was in moments ago. "W-what the hell? Let me go!"
The elder mocked putting on a thoughtful face, before his lips were drawn back into an ugly smirk again. "What, and let you finish off your sister's job? You are the perfect example that every Guardian should be, but I'm not going to take that chance of possibly letting you go corrupted and killing someone. This is why I'll be taking your wings as well." Ripping a feather none too gently from Hikaru's wings, the elder laughed as Hikaru let out a hiss at the sudden burning pain.
Feeling rough paws press down harshly on his wings, the green eyed Viscet screeched as he felt the bones in his wings pop out of place. Disoriented, Hikaru gritted his teeth as more pain came along, followed by a faint glowing. Before the world went dark, the Sun Guardian realized that he was going to be sent away into a world that he'd barely known about, and that his life had just turned up-side down with no returns. "No... Stop... Please, I beg of you!"
It was evident that Hikaru's pleas fell upon deaf ears, as they all looked away. Some had smug grins on their faces, others had genuine sympathy for the Viscet who had his family ripped apart because of cruel fate. As Hikaru's tail thumped against the ground, the Sun Guardian's hollow green eyes closed before the world dissipated. He was not unconscious, which was an even crueler act on the elder's part. It felt as though he was falling into an empty, dark abyss, whilst being pelted with icy rain at the same time.

"Can anyone hear my voice? Can anyone see me? Do I still exist? Can anyone please help me? Why did this happen to me?"

"The darkness is so soothing... It's nice to be able to close my eyes once and for all."

Guardians No Longer |☼| Chapter 4

Postby ✦ nemuri » Tue Mar 07, 2017 10:00 pm

At first, he saw nothing. When Hikaru hesitantly peeled his eyes open, he groaned at the bright moonlight that was cast on him. It took the Sun Guardian, no, former Sun Guardian to get used to the light. Hikaru gritted his teeth at the memory of how his wings were taken from him. A thought suddenly hit the male, and he sat up quickly, scanning the ground in a sort of desperate fervor. His bow and arrows weren't there with him...!
"Damn it!" Hikaru hissed, feeling the corners of his eyes start to burn with the first signs of tears again. It honestly didn't matter to the former Sun Guardian if his wings were taken away; they were pretty useless anyways, just flapping around in the wind as they were mostly for decoration. However, the fact that his bow and arrows were transported to this area with him crushed the normally cheery male. "They can't be back there, can they? They should be here, I'm pretty sure I was holding onto them in that room..." Choking out the words, Hikaru slumped back onto the ground, letting his tears flow freely. The situation had finally hit him; he, Tsukiko, and Hoshi were no longer Guardians, and worse of all, they had no home to go back to.
Turning on his back, Hikaru's dull green eyes stared up at the glimmering moon. There were cherry blossom trees surrounding the area where Hikaru had landed, and when the male turned his head, he could see a grassy plain up ahead. There was no signs of civilization to be seen, but it was clear that the blossoms in the trees had been cared for meticulously.
Pushing himself onto his paws, Hikaru staggered slightly before regaining his balance. Some of the silken fabric that had adorned him was ripped, and the male removed the items in a flourish. Why should he keep them? They were nothing but bad memories, and it made the Viscet stand out more than was necessary. In other words, they were a nuisance. Casting them off to the side, Hikaru hesitated as his paws gripped onto the golden circlet with the large emerald embedded in the middle of it. As much as he had hated to admit it, the circlet had become a part of him like his bow and arrows, and it hurt the former Sun Guardian to discard that item as easily as his other items.
Taking the item off his head, Hikaru let out a slow exhale before hurling said circlet towards the abundance of trees that lay ahead. It was nothing but a bad memory, the Viscet reminded himself. However, his heart continued to beat a hundred miles per second, as though he felt guilty about throwing it away.
"What do I do now..?" Hikaru asked out loud, pale green eyes scanning the picturesque scenery. Everything seemed too calm to be true. Now that he thought about it, maybe it wasn't the scenery that was too calm. It was just Hikaru's thoughts that were too jumbled up. After all, most Viscets would be in the same state of mind that Hikaru was in if they were just thrown out of the home that they had known for years upon years and if they had been separated from the two Viscets that they had loved the most. The fact that the former Sun Guardian was still on his paws was commendable all on its own.
Taking a step forward, Hikaru grimaced as his legs nearly gave out underneath him. Although there didn't seem to be any huge differences between the earth realm and the heavens, it was harder for the male to walk, for whatever reason. Perhaps it was gravity acting up and the amount of fresh oxygen that was meddling with Hikaru's brain. After being accustomed to low amounts of oxygen after living up in the clouds for years, the rush of oxygen that ran through his body was exhilarating and exhausting at the same time.
Pausing for a moment, the male Viscet let out a deep exhale before closing his eyes. "So... Tiring..." There was nothing more that the male had wanted to do than curl up into a tight ball and sleep for infinity. However, Hikaru knew that it simply wasn't possible. Lashing his tail in frustration, he peeled his eyes open again wearily. "No, I can't stop. I need to find Tsukiko and Hoshi, even if it's the last thing I do."
Filled with resolve, Hikaru inhaled and blinked. When his eyes opened again, they were clear, and hardened with a purpose and a motive that he had to fulfill. He started off walking towards the distant buildings, and once he had gotten used to the feeling in his legs, Hikaru broke off into a run. The wind brushed and tousled against his sun-coloured fur, and the moon lit his way through the grass. It was calming, and his previously racing heartbeat had slowed into steady beats as Hikaru navigated his path.

It didn't really matter to Hikaru now that he had just been exiled from the heavens. As far as he knew, it was less stressful living on the earth realm, and he didn't have to give a single damn about what the other Guardians were up to. All he had to do was relocate Tsukiko and Hoshi. Hikaru could meet new Viscets and make friends, something that was near impossible to do in the heavens when everyone cared about their statuses and didn't have time to spend with any friends. Then, his world would be full and around again. The green eyed male Viscet looked forward to that prospect, with a heart filled with hope for the future.

"Can you hear my voice, Hoshi, Tsukiko? Ah, it doesn't really matter in the end, does it... Just know that I'm coming for both of you. Just hold on, I'll be there and soon I'll bring us together once again. I won't let anyone separate us three again,
this I swear solemnly."

Seeking The Lost Sister |☼| Chapter 5

Postby ✦ nemuri » Tue Mar 07, 2017 10:02 pm

Hikaru had been running for so long, he had lost track of the time. Although he knew that he had to find both Hoshi and Tsukiko, he wasn't sure who he should find first. He had an inclination to find Tsukiko first because she was his younger twin sister, and twins always had that special bond that, once broken, is hard to repair. His inclination to find Hoshi first was because Hoshi was his precious youngest sister, and she was a little oddball that would never grow up no matter what happened. She didn't develop all the muscle that an adult Viscet would have, and her claws weren't as long as his or Tsukiko's claws. In the end, Hikaru decided on finding Hoshi first. He knew that Tsukiko would probably understand and respect his decisions, no matter how much they had hurt.
"Where would I go if I was Hoshi?" Hikaru asked himself as his paws thudded against the cement ground. He had left the grassy glade with the cherry blossoms, and much to his annoyance, there were a few petals adorning his fur. Pausing in his run, the male Viscet took a few seconds out of his precious time to shake out those petals and pluck out the flowers that refused to come out of his shining coat.
It was indeed a good question that Hikaru had decided to ask himself. As far as he knew, he had no leads or traces of where Hoshi could possibly be, as he had never been to the earth realm before, unlike Hoshi, and even then Hoshi went to places were asteroids had landed. For now, all Hikaru could do was simply wander around, hoping to sight Hoshi's ethereal-looking coat with the glowing moon symbols. It wasn't very helpful, but it took all of the male Viscet's effort to cling onto the hope that had started to drift away when he realized that he didn't know where Hoshi was.
It was a strange experience for the male Viscet as he wandered around on the streets. It was rather crowded despite it being quite late, and there were multiple vendors set up in the middle of the road, selling items that Hikaru had never seen before. He felt out of place, as he didn't know what was going on, and his pelt attracted more attention than was necessary, even after he had discarded the items that he had unintentionally brought with him from the heavens.
"Stop looking at me..." Hikaru mumbled to himself, gripping onto his arms to reduce the space that he was taking up in the crowd. All of the eyes on him was making the male self-conscious, and that normally wasn't a problem for someone as open and welcomed as Hikaru. Being careful of not to bump into anyone to attract more attention, Hikaru let out a sigh as his eyes swept around the area for any signs of either Tsukiko or Hoshi. If the male did end up finding Tsukiko first it wasn't like it would ruin his plans, but rather speed things up. Finding Hoshi would surely be more troublesome, and with Tsukiko out of the way the male could focus on the PPS.
Turning his head from side to side, Hikaru let out a small exhale as he continued to wander around on the streets. For a crowded place, it was rather quiet and quaint. Several lanterns were lit, and there were Viscets dressed in long robes that reminded the male of yukatas, but he couldn't be sure. Some of them were holding onto food and talking quietly amongst themselves, and others were with partners and laughing out loud freely. The friendly atmosphere of the festival attracted Hikaru and the male was tempted to stay longer, but he shook his head firmly, chastising himself for forgetting about Hoshi and Tsukiko for a moment. His priority was his sisters, and nothing could be more important than Hoshi and Tsukiko, at least in the former Sun Guardian's opinion.
Exhaling, Hikaru tried to make his way out of the throng of Viscets. As he tried doing so, he accidentally bumped into a particularly vicious looking female with spiked horns. "A-ah... Sorry about that, miss." Bowing his head and internally screaming at himself for screwing up, the former Sun Guardian tried to back up, but the female had already pinpointed him down with her stare.
"What the hell... Hold on, I'm not gonna hurt you!" she called out, as Hikaru paused. Despite her frown, her voice sounded genuinely confused, as though she wasn't aware that her face was twisted in an ugly grimace. Slowly making his way back towards the female, Hikaru bowed again.
"So sorry for bumping into you," Hikaru mumbled, as the female waved a paw in the air, obviously uncomfortable.
"It's fine. In any case, it looked like you were looking for someone. Who?" Pausing, the butterfly and lightning patterned Viscet ran a paw through her messy dark blue hair before exhaling and holding out a paw for the former Sun Guardian to shake. "I must seem like a creep, don't I? I'm Willow. Pleased to make your acquaintance."
"Hikaru." Shaking Willow's paw warily, the former Sun Guardian wondered if he should tell Willow. In the end he decided to spill the beans. After all, if Willow ended up helping the male search for his sisters, that would mean less work with faster results in the end. "I'm looking for my younger sister, Hoshi. We were, ah, separated some time ago. I've been looking for her since." Missing the look of shock on Willow's face, Hikaru nodded his head slightly. "Would you mind helping me? I have another sister who I need to track down, and I have no clue where either of them are."
Choosing her words carefully, Willow frowned as she turned away from the green eyed male. "I know of a Hoshi. However, can I trust that you're speaking the truth? As much as I dislike her, my parents adopted her, so it is my duty as the older sister to protect the younger one."

Hoshi's Whereabouts |☼| Chapter 6

Hikaru would not be exaggerating when he said that he literally felt his heart stop at Willow's words. "You know where Hoshi is? Can I see
her?"
Exhaling, Hikaru willed himself to be calm, but there was too much going on. Hoshi was closer than he had thought, and the former
Sun Guardian wasn't in the mood to let his younger sister slip past his grasp.
Willow looked mildly uncomfortable at how eager Hikaru seemed, but she didn't tell the male to back down. "She's not here at the festival,
if that's what you're wondering. Hoshi told me that she dislikes these kinds of festivals. I don't know why, they're so fun and interesting."

Pausing, Willow narrowed her crimson eyes before blowing a strand of dark blue fur out of her face. "I guess I could take you to her, but
you'd better give me a good reason to do so. Only irresponsible Viscets lose track of someone as precious as their own family, you know?"

Flinching from the hostility in Willow's voice, Hikaru nodded his head hesitantly. The female was correct, of course. However, it wasn't
Hikaru's fault that Hoshi was separated. The former Sun Guardian knew that if he tried to explain things to Willow, the female probably
wouldn't understand or accuse him of lying. "Let me rephrase myself... Hoshi didn't wander off and become lost. She was banished."
Voice dropping down into a low baritone, Hikaru's pale green eyes narrowed. "You can choose whether you want to believe me or not.
However, I came for Hoshi, and I will leave for Hoshi, mark my words."

Willow didn't say anything for a long period of time, her red eyes scanning up and down Hikaru's body, as if she was considering whether
she could trust the male. In the end, she nodded her head and turned around, gesturing to the former Sun Guardian with her tail. "Alright,
fine, come along. However, there's no guarantees that Hoshi will remember you. She barely remembers anything about herself, for
whatever reason."

"What the hell?" Hikaru echoed in disbelief, before hurrying to follow the lithe female as she slipped in and out of the crowd. Willow's
words were disturbing, to say the least, and the male didn't understand what she meant when she said that Hoshi might not remember
him. Hoshi was only recently banished, and they had seen each other last a few days ago. There's no way that the starry Viscling would
forget, would she?
Slipping past other Viscets, Hikaru struggled to catch up with Willow, who navigated her way almost effortlessly through the throng. "H-hold
on, wait up!"
Yelping as he nearly collided with another Viscet, the former Sun Guardian ducked his head in apology at the unamused
Viscet as he continued to follow after Willow. "Slow down a little, will you?"
In response to Hikaru, the dark blue female sped up, probably to spite the cheerful male. Gritting his teeth, Hikaru tried his best to follow
Willow as fast as he could without slamming head-first into any other Viscet. Two incidents in one night was enough, he thought to himself,
as his paws thudded against the ground.
As the two ran along, Hikaru thought to himself about what Willow's words could have meant. As much as he knew how Hoshi hated Hikaru's
affections, the former Sun Guardian knew that the female Viscling would never pretend to forget about him because she knew how much
it would break apart the cheerful male on the inside. As he was thinking, he had nearly missed Willow taking a left. Hikaru backtracked
a little, slightly frustrated that Willow was moving so quickly.
Soon, Willow had slowed into a fast walk as she made her ways behind a house with a large forest overlooking it. There was an area without
any trees, and Hikaru could barely make out the slim figure of Hoshi. There was a darker shadow near the Viscling talking to her, and
Hikaru paused, wondering if he should call out to Hoshi. Suddenly, Hoshi's head swiveled around and her eyes narrowed slightly, and the
figure next to her vanished abruptly.
"Hoshi?" Hikaru called uncertainly, as Hoshi frowned. Taking a step back, the Viscling's ears were pressed against her skull as she
spoke up warily.
"... Who are you? How do you know my name?" Shaking now, Hoshi took another step back as Hikaru's ears dropped, confused at his
sister's reaction. Willow frowned in her place next the former Sun Guardian as she made her way towards Hoshi. Hoshi flinched away
and glanced at her glowing paws before training her eyes on the ground. "Don't look at me. I know I'm a freak. You don't need to tell me
that!"

"What are you talking about, Hoshi? It's me, Hikaru, your brother!" the former Sun Guardian exclaimed in confusion, as Hoshi exhaled
harshly before pressing her paws against her eyes. Hikaru stepped forward as well to embrace Hoshi, whose shakes had become stronger.
"Surely you haven't forgotten me and Tsukiko, have you?" Voice cracking slightly, Hikaru's paws made his way to Hoshi's shoulders and
the male started to grip his younger sister tightly.
Hoshi didn't say anything at first, but her eyes widened. Her body fell limp for a moment, before she launched herself into Hikaru's pelt.
"I'm sorry... I'm sorry for splitting us up. I'm sorry for doing this." Seeing the tears that started to run down Hoshi's face was heartbreaking,
and there was nothing more that the former Sun Guardian wanted to do than to wipe away those tears now that Hoshi appeared to have
remembered. "Where is Tsukiko? And why are you here?"
Pausing, Hikaru wondered how he should break the news to Hoshi. She was fragile, and he didn't want to break her further. "We were
both banished. I don't know where she is, but I'll find her, I promise. I'm sure that Tsukiko is fine."

Traces of Tsukiko |☼| Chapter 7

Postby ✦ nemuri » Tue Mar 07, 2017 10:05 pm

After finding Hoshi and getting her to recover some of her memories, Hikaru's mood has improved drastically. He's almost reverted back to his previous self as though he was never separated from his family. However, Tsukiko was still out there, and the former Sun Guardian knew that his euphoria would be short-lived and that he had to somehow find a way to recover his twin sister.
"Ah, that thought is so depressing," Hikaru complained to himself, feeling his ears drop down as his tail thumped against the ground lightly. Willow had taken him into her house, and her parents, Nabi and Ligonem, didn't question Hikaru's whereabouts and only nodded their head at the story that he had decided to tell him. Hoshi was there and nodding the entire time, much to the former Sun Guardian's relief.
Hoshi let out a small scoff as she lifted her head to stare at her older brother. "Where'd that negativity come from, huh? Negativity, begone!" Giving a small nod to Willow who had entered the room, Hoshi stood up and brushed off some invisible specks of dust off her pelt. "Well... It was lucky that you managed to stumble upon Willow at the festival. I doubt that finding Tsukiko would be that easy, to be honest."
"Right, right, right," the former Sun Guardian huffed, as he started to walk in circles in the house. "I'm gonna be outside. Call if you need anything." Giving Willow a small smile and a nod of his head, Hikaru made his way outside. The fresh air would do the male some good, especially since finding Tsukiko amidst this mess wasn't going to be easy.
Exhaling and closing his mint green eyes, Hikaru made his way over to a patch of grass and sat down. It had been several hours since he had found Hoshi, and the former Sun Guardian got to experience the thrill of the sun on the earthly realm. Somehow, it seemed more comforting than the sun up in the heavens, even though Hikaru knew that both suns were exactly the same with no differences, save for the distances between the areas that it was shining down on.
"... What had happened to me within the past few days?" Hikaru asked himself, as he opened his eyes again and stared up at the cerulean sky. Leaning back onto the grass, the male Viscet's tail tip twitched slightly before settling onto the ground. "I was separated from family and banished from my home. What next? Does Tsukiko end up liking a ghost or something?"
Remaining in his position for a while, Hikaru let out a small yawn as his paws gripped at the green grass below. The male was low on energy and wanted nothing more than to be able to sleep peacefully, but that currently wasn't possible. His conscience would not allow him to rest for long periods of time without attempting to search for the lost twin. "Nrghn..." Pushing himself up into a sitting position, Hikaru ran a paw through his yellow fur, frowning in disdain. Cleaning off some parts of his shiny coat, Hikaru paused for a moment as a shadow darted in and out of the trees beyond Willow's house. "The heck?"
The shadow had stopped moving, but it remained under the cover of the trees. When Hikaru squinted, he could make out the thin outline of two Viscets. One of them stiffened once Hikaru's eyes had landed on them, and tried to duck behind the other Viscet. The Viscet in front had yellow eyes with purple tinges, but the shade was so pale it could almost be mistaken as white. "Hello...?"
Both Viscets started to back away once Hikaru's loud, yet slightly hoarse, voice drifted through the air. However, as one of them backed away, a ray of sunlight hit their pelt, showing off the pale purple hues with silvery markings. The former Sun Guardian froze at the sight of those markings, because they were all too familiar. "Tsukiko...? Is that you? Hey, come back!"
The more Hikaru concentrated on that particular Viscet, it quickly became clear that his sister was closer that it had seemed. Tsukiko didn't say anything, but instead returned a colder look that took Hikaru's breath away. He didn't know she was being so hostile, and it was clear that she didn't want to associate herself with him. The other Viscet standing by her side disappeared among the vegetation, with Tsukiko quickly following. However, as the former Sun Guardian watched the two retreating forms disappear into the greenery, a folded piece of paper slipped out of paws. Whether Tsukiko had purposely let it go or had dropped it, Hikaru had no clue.
"Tsukiko..." Getting up from his spot on the grass, Hikaru made his way over to where the piece of paper landed. Picking it up delicately as though it could disintegrate any moment, the former Sun Guardian inhaled as he unfolded the piece of paper. There were several letters written on it in no particular order. At first, the male was befuddled. What was the point of Tsukiko giving the paper to him if he didn't even understand what it meant? However, as he continued to stare at the letters, he eventually saw the pattern. It was a code that he and Tsukiko used to write in a lot when they were younger to prevent Hoshi from reading their letters. "Seems as though you've found another use for our code, huh?"
Quickly solving the code, Hikaru's heart leaped to his throat as he read the decoded message. "Meet her here at midnight and bring Hoshi...? She could've just approached us, though." Frowning in confusion, the former Sun Guardian's eyes darted to the next sentence, and his eyebrow rose. However, he did as his twin sister requested. Folding and ripping the note into many small pieces, Hikaru waited for the signs of a breeze. Releasing the scattered bits of paper, he watched as they drifted along in the sky. Letting out a sigh, he nodded his head. "You're right, Tsukiko, there's something oddly comforting about watching inanimate objects fly so freely..."
