personality

fantasy generally comes off as a serious type, or an "i don't joke around" type. this is probably just because of how quiet he likes to be around people though. if you really get to know him, you'll notice that most of the time he enjoys surrounding himself with humour. for example, those dumb lenseless glasses, all a joke. sometimes he pretends to clean the "lenses" of it to particularly amuse himself. actually, he sort of jokes so much it became a habit, often fantasy will say something along the "funny lines" of things and not even realise it. sometimes those jokes are making fun of himself or others, using sarcasm, but again, he doesn't really realise.
an easy thing for fantasy to do is relax, once again along the joking side of things if he seems angry he's probably really not. although that doesn't mean he doesn't get frustrated, nervous or irritated, just prefers not to show it around people, and if he is it's very lowkey. he's generally told he's a very mellow guy, which is true for sure. he's able to give a pretty good amount of good advice too, in a sense, he could be your therapist.
this laid back clown personality does make fantasy a little prone to slacking off, or procrastination. sometimes, he doesn't find that there's times you actually should be serious in, so pushes the most important things to the side for days until a sudden he recognizes the thing he's putting off was important and has a minor mental breakdown. one thing he does take very seriously though is his first name, gene. most people don't even know that this is his actual first name because he goes by his last, fantasy, so often. it's really not known why fantasy does this, but it's almost a sign of friendship if he tells you his first. if you've seemed to become good friends with him, you can confirm it when he finally says to you: "you can call me gene." or "just call me gene." don't assume that you can become his friend quite easy though, fantasy really does have a shortage of trust until he can understand and know someone well enough.

also, most likely constantly tired, physically or mentally. he will easily loose interest in most things quickly, and with his habit to daydream, zones out quite often. he'd like to think this makes him romantic though, actually; fantasy likes to think he's romantic in general. one thing he never admits though is that he's probably not got the commitment to be in a real relationship, and never has. this doesn't stop him from believing that someday he'll be in the perfect relationship with the most perfect kalon.

easy to catch onto most likely if you've known him for a while, fantasy is very feminine in some cases. just enjoying typically "girl-ish" things. particularly dresses, sometimes makeup. he may find himself wearing eyeliner at times. took a sewing class in grade 11, had gotten made fun of for which did hurt his feelings-- fantasy is pretty sensitive too. not one to show it either, because to him it would be embarrassing. embarrassment lowers his confidence and he is constantly trying to keep his confidence high.

in a short conclusion, gene fantasy would be a pretty nice guy. yeah, he probably does seem distanced, but if he opens up to you he's pretty interesting, and really sweet. if you wanted, he'd probably do your makeup.

history

fantasy was born on hawaii, july 22. living there for about 3 years before his parents decided to move to france. memories of his birthplace are blurred but he can still vaguely remember some things from there, which fuels nostalgic memories and his love towards the ocean.
fantasy went through life in france up until he had turned 18, meaning nearly his entire youth was spent there. fantasy admits to the fact that, he most likely was influenced to become a fashion designer while living in the capital of fashion for so long. but also brings up how he is reminded by others that even before he lived in france, when he was a kit, he had a huge fascination with women's clothing.

anyways, after fantasy hit adulthood he began life in complete transit. living in a camper, which he still does, traveling around the americas. experiences were gathered, and life is rougher in some places, fantasy learned that. he went through a large amount of changing part time jobs, most were at fast food restaurants, sometimes dog walking, one was at a clothing store-- which he really enjoyed. the most memorable was probably the one month job as an elevator operator at a hotel, where he got stuck with anxious kalons several times. or maybe, it was the one where he investigated crime for a while. he doesn't really talk about that one. and, life just kept going on from there.

when he was 22 he moved to a small beachside town. never planning to stay for so long, and actually end up getting a full time job in flying floatplanes so quick. not too much of a surprise though, it was a good opportunity and fantasy had been flying planes before this anyways, since his parents always wanted him to become a pilot, because they knew how much he loved to travel. they'd bought him a pilot's license when he was 17, and of course, fantasy decided to go along with it considering it was a minor interest of his. "someday i'm gonna leave, but i don't know when." might hear this a lot. it's a lie, the leaving part.

surprisingly, the choice to become a fashion designer, the thing that followed him around for so long but he never took action in, came last out of all this. around 24 years old, fantasy had begun to get a hold of companies to turn his many sketches of clothing into a reality and is constantly pushing himself to work further in his designs. it's more of a side job from flying at the moment, but what fantasy focuses on the most.

kit years (0-3)
as a child, fantasy cried a lot. probably a lot more than an average kit. it would be hard to calm him down but one thing that always seemed to help was a hug. perhaps tying into him being actually a pretty emotional guy, but always feeling safer closer to another person. fantasy aswell was quite curious, probably getting him into trouble a lot. there really isn't a lot to say about these years, when he wasn't crying he was quiet as ever and when he wasn't doing things like attempting to stick coins into sockets, he was very invested in his mother's closet.

child (4-12)
after moving from hawaii to france, fantasy's interest in women's clothing seemed more apparent, though he was more personal about it. at this time he mainly enjoyed drawing with crayons and really anything he could use to make pictures on, with a big love for drawing butterflies and flowers and things of the sort in his yard on sunny days. the majority of his drawings were probably strawberries though, because his parents would constantly call him "our little strawberry", and he always took pride in this affectionate nickname. usually he preferred to play and do things by himself, if he befriended other kals it was usually because he found them interesting or had a unrealistic goofy crush on them. he also began to learn a small amount of french, but only used it when he had to because he never found other languages very interesting. he was sometimes called "a lucky soul", with a collection of the many pennies on the sidewalk he'd found at this age (he still has it, actually), once won his parents 100$ on a scratch and win card and has seen countless four lead clovers. because of this he's actually quite a believer in luck, and carries a rabbit's foot around with him in his pocket now constantly.

teenager (13-17)
"real" crushes ensue, still few friends. but this was also when he would come out of drawing simple nature-y things and start to draw clothes. still a bit shy about his fascination though, probably even more so than from when he was a child. he was also an avid member of the highschool curling team, it's not really something he'd ever bring up again though. he was pretty good at it aswell, winning a few bronze or gold trophies with his team. also in highschoool he had taken a sewing class, ending up being the only guy in it, but befriending quite a few girls who were indifferent to him being there as they all shared a similar interest. fantasy would find people telling him he was one of the most relaxed guys they'd ever met, which was sort of weird to him to think about because on the inside he was always very nervous about things. sometimes during highschool and others were having parties, fantasy would just show up uninvited. it was maybe because of his lack of friends, he actually can't remember why he even did that. no one ever really noticed considering how he'd just stand the corner and be so quite all the time. nearing the end of teenagerhood was when he started flying airplanes and such, something his parents had him do because of his slight interest of traveling. he'd always tell them how much he'd love to travel, maybe live in a camper park. so it was apparent he might enjoy this type of travell-y job. he definitely wasn't too psyched about it when he first started though, mainly finding all the mechanical stuff boring, but the sights pretty neat. it was also this time he ended up dropping from highschool and took spent most of his days in flight school.

adult (18-25)
going with his teenage ideals, beginning to travel constantly and eventually moving from france. it was america that he based all these travels in, he liked the seemingly more simple life it gave to him. flying airplanes was less apparent, and he usually had many many part time jobs. one job fantasy certainly doesn't try to think about but pops back into his head every so often is the short job where he had helped out as crime investigation for a while. he quit soon after he actually saw a dead person. after the event of seeing that, he ate spaghetti at a fancy restaurant that his crime team went out to with him that night, yet he couldn't get the image out of his brain and from that day on he really can't even bare the thought of eating spaghetti, considering it reminds him of death.
women's fashion still clung to him and followed him his whole way, eventually he found how much he enjoyed actually wearing women's clothing, and how he slowly became more confident about it over time. later in adulthood, a small beachside town won him over. he quit traveling for some time to settle down. he begun flying planes again, now floatplanes, and found it a good substitute to travel. he could still see new places but didn't have to move to them every single time. later in life he had realised how much he'd really enjoyed fashion, how he had more drawings of dresses than he really thought and he knew that fashion design was something he'd finally have to pursue in.
at 25, fantasy wouldn't be bothered to wear the things he really enjoys sometimes, wearing them with confidence. a guy without many dreams but many ideals.

so what's next? (the future?)
if you'd ask fantasy this question, he'd tell you he really didn't know. perhaps he'd start his traveling again, maybe. by now he takes everything as it goes, and is pretty adaptable, so whatever comes his way he probably wouldn't mind. to him, the best way to continue life is unplanned, it will surprise you how far you can come in life without thinking it all out. he likes to believe that he could get farther with fashion design though, perhaps owning his own company one day. if he did own a company it would for sure be under the name "strawberries & cream".

sense of fashion

fantasy has always been pretty open to others ideas, so he can always recognize this is only personal preference. however, when asked what he enjoys in clothing he was explain it like this;

"ah, hmm, okay. well generally i like very basic type things. i wear the same thing almost every day, hah. collared sweater, ripped blue jeans. these glasses. but then again i've got a love for frilly and vibrant things. things that really make you stand out. like, uh, i dunno, i think women's clothing will always be more interesting than men's. so i can't really talk about what i usually wear as something amazing. but that's just me."

in a sense of "yeah i really don't know, sorry." maybe concerning for a fashion designer, but from the eyes of someone else, you could easily see what fantasy is into clothing wise. he definitely enjoys simple things, like plain white dresses. but adding other small details would be something for him to do aswell. perhaps taken from his childhood of drawing things from his backyard, he enjoys adding flowers or butterflies to his designs, now with all the things he's seen from his travels he would put in palm trees, shells, dolphins, things along that line. most of them are related to the beach because his travels based around cities near the ocean, but he would visit more country type areas sometimes too. he's very into lace, often adding it to the cuffs of shirts. also, nearly all his designs have got extremely bright colours to them. he's a general designer of dresses (which have commonly been described as more conservative looking), sweaters and a rare occasion of simple shirts because it's what he feels gives him the most free range. most of the time though, people view fantasy's designs as a bit more strange, which led to him having a relatively hard time getting into the fashion business.

the reason he wears such simple clothing almost each day is because he prefers not to stand out. usually he values comfort over looking nice. fantasy also is nearly always barefoot, when he can be. maybe it's something sort of hippie-ish, he's been told that sometimes. in his own mind once again it's just for comfort. when he does wear shoes, they're normally dress shoes, something he's worn since he was a teen and even a younger kit.

hobbies

it's pretty understood that fantasy enjoys fashion, that's for sure. so we probably don't need to know any more. so what does he do besides designing?

growing peach trees
the definitely could be seen as odd to most people, but it's something fantasy really enjoys. something fantasy has always liked was fruit, considering himself being associated with the smaller fruit, a berry, the strawberry by his parents so often. and there's something so ripe and nice about peaches. if one was to visit fantasy's small property on the beachside town he lives on, you'd see the many peach trees blooming, with baskets below them for when he's ready to harvest the delicious pink orange fruits. sometimes when he just can't get his mind off something, he'll go to the peach trees to pick off peaches, which seems to easily relax his mind. of course, this leads to having too many peaches, and man does fantasy have a large amount of stories where he'd had one too many peaches to share.
when this does happen, he'll either share them with his pilot friends at the dock or simply go around the neighborhood giving them out, which seems to spark a little bit of happiness in him.

recording late night tv shows
once again, probably a bit strange. but you will slowly find out fantasy does have weird interests. in particular from this tv recording hobby, he records infomercials. and it's not because he's interested in buying the dumb stuff they have to offer, it's because of his sort of bizarre humor. after the infomercial is recorded, it's actually something fantasy can put into his small box tv in his camper to watch and get a kick out of. he probably makes a lot of ginsu knives jokes. yeah, he finds this really funny. these recordings are always done at his friends' houses though, considering he doesn't have cable. he'll simply say to them "turn your tv onto this channel, at this time, and record it onto here." while handing them a small vhs tape to do so on. bizarre at first, but eventually his friends get used to it. there have also been cases of him going to his neighbors, people he doesn't know very well, and ask them to record something more normal. like a curling game, a sport and the only sport he actually really enjoys watching.

photography
not your typical photography, like sunsets or flowers. fantasy prefers to take pictures of large industrial buildings, restaurant interiors, or something along that line. it's not something that really needs explaining, just something he likes to do. usually these pictures are taken on older versions of cameras, so the quality of them aren't the best.

living situation

as stated often, fantasy lives in a camper, on a small, beachside town.
but where is this camper situated, what is it like inside?

surrounding area
his actually very large property is right next to the ocean, a bit farther back from the town so he has to drive out a little ways to get there. it's surrounded by pine trees, and his own peach trees. honestly, it's quite a mess, with large holes dug out from his big dog ru and a river project that probably didn't work as well as he thought it would. still something he's trying to fix up, it was basically a hole in the ground supposedly resembling a large lake, with a river going down the side of it. it seemed like a good idea but actually ended up causing a small flood in his yard. he thought it was sort of funny, but was disappointed. he's now attempting to fix it by putting stones and things around it to keep the water in. down the road there's a long dusty path with a bunch of others houses built around it, the majority of these houses were hand built on the property.

camper
a much older vintage version of a camper, it's not luxury is what you could say about it. the walls are orange, and there are some floral print curtains that are generally pushed aside, but the lighting inside is still pretty dark. the floors are, well, typical for fantasy but covered in his drawings of clothing. he tells himself he would clean it up, and he is, but mainly is just never in the mood to. he sleeps on his couch there. a tv rests on the floor where he watches many of his odd vhs tapes. he has a few plants behind the tv too, mainly for a personal aesthetic he has but actually never watches it. the floors are carpeted and generally he just lays on them instead of his couch. then there's all the basic stuff aswell, like kitchen, bathroom. it's not really too interesting, that stuff. there are two dog beds for his dogs hello and ru, who are usually outside but of course, he lets them sleep inside. he's also got a fish tank, with too many fish that he can't really name, he claims to love them all though.

ru and hello
fantasy owns two dogs, ru, a large brown standard poodle, and hello, a small white bull terrier puppy. ru is the much more mellow dog, who usually spends his time sleeping in fantasy's yard in the sun. although he does like to dig pretty large holes and sleep in those aswell. hello is a rambunctious puppy who constantly trying to pester ru into playing with her. often kicking dirt into ru's holes he had dug or pulling on his tail. both are very hardy and healthy dogs, and fantasy couldn't love them enough.
he's owned ru since he was 17, and just recently got hello when he was 24.

he takes them for walks every day, and they usually stay outside in his yard. but they sleep inside his camper with him.








his fish
all are small shiny yellow fish who mind their own business. he's got 3 big ones, and at least over a dozen small ones in the same tank. he really wouldn't have anything to say about them except he loves to watch them swim around so peacefully in their tank, he likes to think they're also interested in what he is, sometimes talking to them about his projects or laughing with them about dumb things. none of them haves names, because he wouldn't know who was who.

a little more depth

- fantasy has tinnitus in his left ear,
most likely due to flying planes so much.

- adding a bit to his odd personality,
fantasy actually never listens to music.
it's just not something he's interested in.
if he was to listen to music though, he'd
probably really enjoy something along the
lines of blancmange.

- he has a huge weakness to caramel,
salt water taffy & soda water.

- bites on his knuckles when he's
nervous or frustrated. probably
one of the only signs he shows about this.

- has a fear of isolation, and can't spend a
ton of time on his own. usually goes out to town once
a day just to see a few people, his friends or his strangers,
since he gets lonely how far out from town he is sometimes.

- the strawberry he wears on his head sometimes,
was a gift from his parents when he was a kid. it
was for sure a reference to the "our little strawberry"
nickname they'd give him all the time. usually it sits on the couch
of his camper. the only times he actually does wear it is when he
models his designs.

- can't really speak french despite living in france for 14 years.
he knew how at the time, never really did it though and ended up
forgetting.
