So it would be one book. With two different standpoints of one story. One half of the book is one viewpoint, then you flip the book, and the other half is the other viewpoint. It's up to you which one you read first.
One part is the stereotypical "a prince that slays the dragon" I'm not sure what kind of different twist I can put on that, plus I don't have inspiration to write that rn.
The other part is how the princess raised the dragon, and they were like family. The princess swore not to marry, and the dragon protects her from any princes who may come to try and "rescue" her.
I have a loose outline, that has a lot of gaps in it.

Prologue
The princess receiving the dragon egg
Book start
When the dragon is a hatchling
Book end
The prince slays the dragon and enters the princesses room
Epilogue
The princess murders the prince
Here are some random ideas I had for the book
-The dragons name is Arausio and he is gray with startling bright blue eyes, and blows blue fire
-Arausio and the princess speak telepathically
-Arausio makes cute buzzing noises
-Princess name? Deseray????
-I kind of wanted the princess to wear like black skinny jeans,
band tees, and purple converse.....but, it doesn't really go with
the style of "kingdoms, castles, and medieval stuff"
