turns out, Nephele is an outside kalon. she spends most of her time outside, staring at the sky with a
sad smile on her face. She stare at the stars at night, at the clouds during the day, and at the sad, sad
blue sky whenever she starts to feel frustrated or stressed. she's no stranger to feeling stressed out,
even about the littlest of things. even good things can stress her out a bit when they happen too much.
the silence is her friend, but too much silence will stress her out. she prefers listening to music over
listening to others talk, but she does enjoy the company. she seems very happy on the outside, but has
an air of melancholy longing about her, as if she's thinking about something that she lost, or maybe
even that she never had. hating change, it wouldn't be surprising if perhaps she was mourning the loss
of her own former self, thinking about all that has changed in her life. she hates when things end, as
well, although that goes right along with her hate of change. under everything, though, Nephele is
just a simple dreamer who loves to watch the stars..

She could remember it as clear as day, the day that they.. well, you know. Just thinking about it made her a little sick. What they had done was foolish and ill-advised, but even still.. there was no way she could have stopped it from happening. She was far too young, then. Far too innocent..

They hadn't even seen it coming, but she had. She knew what was happening long before it happened, but she didn't tell them. She had assumed they knew.. she thought that they knew that driving then was dangerous. The hail was coming down heavy, the fog was thick.. they slid off the road.. she could hardly feel a thing when they were found, but they felt even less.. they were rushed into urgent care. She lived, just barely, but they were too late.. to save her..

"You know.. mom.. it hasn't been easy without you.. I've missed you more than anything." The murmurs just barely escaped her lips as she leaned her head on the grave, her tears falling down onto the moss and dust covered grave.

"I.. I really do miss you.."

Nephele wasn't very old, only about five, when her mother died. Even so, she was very close with her mother and losing her was devastating.
Not only did she lose her mother then, she also lost her best friend.. it took her awhile to adjust after her mother's death, but nowadays,
Nephele sees that her mother wouldn't have wanted her to shut herself off. Even though she's still adjusting to being around others again, she
hopes that she's made her mother happy.. where ever she is..

Makayla Monroena;;
Not all friends click with each other right away, and, unfortunately, Makayla and Nephele were some of these friends. It was a snowy
night when they first met, and Nephele had been walking home after buying some groceries. Makayla was out stargazing that night, which
caught Nephele's attention and her mind slipped, letting her stop and stare at the other kalon. Makayla caught her staring and Nephele,
being embarrassed walked away as fast as she could. After a few weeks of similar events occuring, Nephele finally worked up the courage to
talk to Makayla, apologizing for staring at her all of the time. From there, they started to work up their friendship, although there were a few
bumps in the road leading up to where they are now. Nowadays, they've become rather good friends, although they may not spend the most
time with each other. They both love looking at the stars together, and, sometimes when it's especially snowy, Nephele will invite Makayla
over to her house to watch the snow.

Reyna Monroena-Rodgers;;
After Makayla and Nephele became good friends, Nephele met her family. She made sure to be a polite around all of them, but she didn't
really take to any of them. Emerson was a bit too intense for her, Darwin was nice but Nephele couldn't really relate to her, and Felicity
was alright but Nephele felt a bit uncomfortable around her {perhaps because of her tendency to watch horror movies}. But, somehow,
she began to connect with Reyna. She was quiet and a bit shut off, much like Nephele herself, but once she got to know her a bit more she
was amazed. She loved her art and, even though Nephele was an outside kalon and Reyna was an inside one, she felt like there was a balance
between the two. Nowadays, the two have gotten fairly close. Nephele worked it out at her house so that Reyna could stay inside on the
computer while she stayed out on the balcony to stare at the sky. They may not talk much and mostly listen to their music, but just being in
each others company makes Nephele happy.

Jaidev;;
Jaidev's kind personality helped to lead to the friendship him and Nephele have today. Nephele met Jaidev a while ago, back when
she was still very shut off and nervous around others. She had been out getting fresh goods at the farmers market when she met him running
one of the stalls. Although she never really talked to him much, just what was necessary, she really liked to see him every time she went to
the farmers market. After awhile she started to open up and talk a bit more when she went to see him at the farmers market, and even
though she only came once in awhile, the two started to become friends. They're not especially close right now, but Nephele lights up
whenever she sees him at his stall.
