Hello there! The lazy writers (a club for procrastinating writers, found here) are
going to be making a story. It's a collab, for all members of the club, and maybe
we will actually get around to, y'know, making it.

Anyway, this is where all the planning for it will happen. Hopefully it'll be a fun story
to write and read, and once it's been made a link will be added here. If you're planning
on reading it, but not writing in it, then a quick warning - there will be spoilers in the
next post. Probably.

I'm absolutely terrible at intros, so if someone could re-write this and make it better that would be great. Thanks!

THE PLOT:

*Bad Wolf* wrote:The "good" bad guys are keeping people in a "safe" place where they can control them. When more and more of the children are taken, one of the "good" bad guys goes to take them back.
Now, the person who goes to take them back is just a normal person, and their sibling is taken. They sneak out, and the "good" bad guys find out and try to stop MC or something, because they don't want her to find out the truth. But she goes anyway, and finds that the "bad" good guys are actually good, and joins them – helping them save more people and finding her sibling as well.

So have we decided on doing AU characters? Maybe we could do AU characters....in a completely cliched story. Wow. Look at me, so full of ideas.

Well, I was thinking some kind of fairy tale, so maybe a fairy tale with the roles reversed... somehow. The villians are the heroes and vice versa.

Ooh! That sounds super cool! (Anyone can join the collaborate right?) that's a good idea! The villains could be accused of being bad or soenthing but they are actually doing good things, the "Heros" are just blinding the audience. Something like that? Twists!

That sounds good, though. So herein lies the question - do we tell this story from the perspective of the good villians or evil heroes? And how much of this do the readers know about?

Maybe we can switch off telling their stories so the readers don't quite know who to trust, and we can give them time to form opinions of each character... and then it shows that the villians are good and the heroes are bad.

(i rarely post on the lazy writers, but i'm technically part of the club so i hope it's fine!)

I like avianaelizabeth's idea, but if we go with the perspective-switching, maybe there shouldn't even be an "evil" and a "good" faction? In that case, the readers would have already come to view both of them as sympathetic, so they wouldn't know who to consider the heroes and the villains - even before the twist.

Also, would it be based off any particular fairy tale, or just playing off the common tropes in them?

Or maybe we could write from the villians perspective, so that you sympathise with them, even though you know they're evil. We could even have it written in posts on an online forum for evil queens, and they're chatting about killing princesses and stuff. I don't know, just an idea.
