As you enter the entrance to a large building, a soft humming sound could be heard upahead.
Image
You paused, staring at all the items burrowed in the hallway, half confused as to why you were sent here and who was humming.
The odd trinkets and ends stood out to you like white dots in a black room, and you reached forward to slide a hand across a glass case. Curiosity always got the best of you, yet the mystery of the humming viscet pushed you on. You skittered forward, quickly passing the stuffed elk head as its black eyes seemed to be following you itself. Everything about this place seemed mysterious, and a little creepy, so as soon as you passed the corner, you were surprised to see a large figure leaning against the wall.
Your eyes studied them with the interest, as they appeared to have a white shirt along with baggy pants. Their handsome features even showed out behind the mask, and once their eyes met yours, you couldn't help but jump. His eyes ran up and down you, before shaking his head and grabbing a piece of paper along with a pen.

The letter wrote:Oh hello there. I did not.. notice you come in here. What are you here for? Hm never mind, I suppose the earl must of sent you for a tour. Very well, I suppose I could show you around.
I expect you know about my silence. I am a mute, yes, now come along. I dont want to stand here all day.

He didn't wait for one second for you to respond, and quickly moved away from the wall. You paused, staring at his tall form, before reluctantly following him. He defiantly wasn't in any mood for playing around, so you quickly ran up behind him.

You can freely choose whatever you wish to do here. You can go ahead and perform a specific action according to the list, or you can choose to simply scroll down. Whatever your choice is, I hope you have fun revealing Loam's character!

Room!

You two walked for a few moments, before turning a sharp corner and arriving in a kitchen. It was fairly spacious and nice, showing shelves and racks of herbs. You were surprised by how clean it was, considering there was many guards. The air gave off a faint hint of rootbeer, and it made the area relaxing, and even homey, if you were to call yourself a protector. Turning to the stranger, you asked them a simple question. What was their name. They were 'nice' enough to show you around, if nice was the word to describe them. You were curious, simply.

The letter wrote:My name is Loam. Not simple or hard.
And this is the kitchen. Considering your the earls messenger, your free to come here whenever you like. We have all sorts of foods, yet I rarely come here, so if you would want to find me I would be outside. Anyway, feel free to explore. I will be the near fireplace.

With that, Loam quickly shuffled to the fire, waiting for you to make up your mind.

If you decide to not explore;
You decided to not look around, as you felt a little too curious for your own good. You were sure he was in a hurry, so it was probably best to not spend time looking through shelves that clearly held food. Smiling, you shook your head no thank you, and waited for him to continue the tour.

If you do decide to explore:

You quickly took off to the nearest thing that caught your eye, the rack of herbs. You were fairly skilled with herbs, as in your younger years you had been taken as an apprentice for a mage. Herbs always had these wondrous scents that you could not ignore, and you took the a purple petal in your hand. It was lavender, freshly picked by the look and smell. You wanted to ask who picked these herbs, but you were sure he was already annoyed enough by your inquisitiveness. Smiling, you let the plant fall limp again before staring intently at the apples on the table. Everything was so fresh. You could already tell the first time you saw the lavender. Loam could clearly see your look of surprise, and spoke up quickly.

The Letter wrote:Everyone pitches in with a little bit of everything. Every knight wants to keep things nice, its what we were trained to do. Believe it or not we are quite the neat freaks.

You could of imagined a chuckle if he had said that outloud, though you continued reading.
The letter wrote:One of us gets the cabbages, one of us gets the wheat, and so on, you get the point. We all like to help eachother really.

You nodded in awe, unaware of how close knights we're really that close to eachother. Looking up at Loam, you nodded your head, and with that, you two left the room.

Once you arrived to the next room, you immediately smiled. Books. Books were always something special to you. You technically grew up with books, and could remember reading them ever since you were little.

Image
The Letter wrote:This is clearly the library. Not many of us go in here, really only when we have free time, which is rare. My favorite book is Boethiahs Proving.

He leaned over, picking a brown book and showing it to you.
The Letter wrote:
Feel free to read it, it isn't very long and its worth it.

If you did not read it:
You smiled, before shaking your head no thank you. You had no time currently.

If you read it:
Story is here
You read it, rather quickly then you wanted to. It was very interesting to read, and you actually quite liked it. It was a cunning story, very mysterious, just like Loam himself.

This room was extremely different from the others, much more open spaced and cold. There was clearly no source of heat in it room, but it gave off a relaxing atmosphere. There were so many wondrous smells in the room, both good and bad. Everything glowed, and gave off a mystical aurora. You knew immediately why Loam brought you here. It didn't need explaining at all. This was the alchemy room and you watched him as he leaned over a table.

The letter wrote:This is my favorite room. Solitude. I go here to enchant others weapons and armor. It's quite enjoyable as the cold has always given me peace, and also I can focus on one thing instead of stressing out.

He paused, eyeing you up and down before handing you the letter. Once you reached it, you quickly read it. You thought it was interesting, how funny people's personalities range. Most people you knew dispised Alchemy. Whenever you asked, they had always said it gave off a bad feeling. But, you admired him for this.
Taking the silence as a hint to explore, you slid away and explored the trinkets for what seemed to be hours. There were so many bottles filled with unknown liquids, you couldn't help but give out a few "oo's" and "ahh'S."
But sadly, your marveling couldn't last forever as he gave an inpatient tap on the wood floor. Nodding, you gave a second glimpse of the amazing room before leaving. You could always come back later..

On your way to the next area, you just happened to pass the library yet again. Everything about this place was amazing, you had no clue why anyone wouldn't want to live here. Loam noticed your stare, and gave out a small sigh, which startled you. You didn't know he could well, sigh, but then again that was being judgemental.
He seemed to understand, and gave a faint nod. In return, you took off, running like a child for a cooked and seasoned trout. You were being childish, but you couldn't help it! Once you reached a shelf, your digit ran along the dusty spines.
Little did you know that he had followed you, and you jumped when a rough hand fell on your shoulder.
Glancing up, you met his eyes before having them trail down to his hand. In his palm, were 5 books, each a different color than the rest.
Curious, you opened your mouth to ask, before shutting it as he opened the first one, a royal blue.
Catching a glimpse of the writing, you read it quickly in your head.
The princess was tame, yet as wild as a beast. Her retaliation against other fellow royals, caused an uproar against many. The night they heard the news of rejecting the 8th Prince, they gathered to make a sour plan. They wanted to kill the jewel. The precious girl who captivated so many, yet broke their hearts with the flick of a quill.
But once the rotten people's plan had arrived to the kingdom, a creature as swift as shadows and black as darkness itself rose from the night. It's blade was tainted with blood, and it's eyes burned holes into those who dare looked.
It is said, that anyone who looked at it, or disrupted the princess would be slain like an animal.

Before you could read much more, the book shut and you gave a frown. Perhaps personal?? You glanced up to meet his gaze, yet he shook his head and swiftly opened the next book, a green one.

---/////----
You had easily read and caught parts of the writing in the stories, yet one thing he didn't want to show you was the dark Crimson one. You were curious, and dieing to ask, but, you felt as if you were pushing it. Nodding, you two put the books back, except the dark one, and left again. Your eyes never strayed from the book tucked tightly under his elbow though.
