Below I will post a story that recently came to mind, of a land where Phoenixes rule. I will be creating some new qualities and lore, instead of following existing ones. I'll make a discussion thread and character reference thread after I write the first chapter. I don't really know what else to put here. Enjoy.

----The first rays of sun stretched out over the horizon. The land was streaked red, while the soft lavender of the sky slowly faded to blue. A single speck of fire came up. Sahra had risen off of her eggs. The grand phoenix gently stroked a wing across her soon-to-be children, and carefully stepped over them, positioning herself on the small overhang on the outside of their cave. She took a last glance at her children and sleeping husband, before gently taking off. With a few swift wing beats, she was riding an early morning wind current.
----Her brilliant deep amber eyes scanned the ground, until she saw something small and white. She broke from the current, and circled the little animal in a vulture-like fashion. Suddenly, she dived straight for the ground, tilting her wings, neck, and chest to make her fall more swiftly and precisely. Stretching her claws out, she made quick work of the little creature before powerfully propelling herself back up to the wind current. She turned back home, the little rabbit held securely in her talons.
----Sahra's husband, Fawkes, had awoken to find her gone. He lay a single wing across the three eggs, and searched the horizon for his wife. Eventually, she came back into sight. When she returned and gently tossed the rabbit toward Fawkes, before using her long beak to get his wing off the eggs and sit on them again.
----"You have to stop leaving when I'm still asleep, love. You had me worried," Fawkes said, before taking a bite out of the rabbit. "You should know by now what I'm doing, dear," Sahra responded.
"But what if something bad happens to you?" countered Fawkes.
Sahra sighed, and adjusted her position a little. It was rather awkward to sit on three eggs of all different sizes.
"Sorry, I'm just a little stressed, with the eggs and all..." Fawkes said, lightly pushing the rabbit towards his wife.
"I know." Sahra told him, and the two locked gazes for a few seconds before Sahra turned away and took a bite out of the rabbit as well. "Don't worry so much, dear. Soon, you'll be a true father."

(If you have any questions on the lore or story, you may pm me or wait until the character ref. thread comes out. Please don't post quite yet. Because I don't have the ability to do tab, ---- will be the substitute.)
