Injured

Winds raged out Kathy's window. The sky was black for as far as the eye can see, only bright flashes of blueish white stopped it from being plainly black.
"Kathy, get away from the window," Kathy's father ordered. Kathy sighed and drew the purple velvet curtains. She sulked over to a ripped up couch and plopped down on it, pouting. Her hand weakly supported her thinking head, her dirty blond hair draped over her face as she gazed at the wooden floor.
No, her hair wasn’t dirty blond like the color, but her golden blond hair was incredibly filthy. Leaves and twigs were stuck in her tangled hair, and dirt coated it almost completely.

“Father, how is Leon feeling today?” She blurted out.

“Kathy! I told you just last night, stop asking questions,” He scolded her, making her flinch back, “You were told, do I need to get the chair?”

“No, no daddy. It’s alright, I’ll be good,” She quickly responded and gave him a innocent smile. The smile was fake, but she’s had so much time to perfect it that he didn’t notice.

“Good, now go to bed,”

Kathy nodded, then sprinted up the broken steps and into a her room. She embraced the familiar small space, the fading lavender walls reminding her of when he life was different, better, alive. I’ll save you, Leon, I promise. She darted over to the floor by the left wall and carefully pealed the moldy carpet from the musty wooden floor below, revealing a trapdoor with a golden handle. Good, good. She lifted it up and jumped down, water splashing up her frail legs and ripped up jean shorts. She closed her eyes and placed her hand on the stone wall and walked ten steps forward, then eight steps to the left, each step making the water splash on her legs again. Her scarred bare feet hit a circular ring, she thrusts her hand in the green water and grabs the ring, lifting it up. In her hand now a large silver crown adorned with rubies. She sighed and trekked further, only stopping when she comes face to face with a huge metal jail-like door. Her calm face quickly turning fearful. What if Father is in there? What if Leon’s dead? What if this is just a plot to kill me? No, Heidi, save him, save him.

You are Enlightened, no one can hold you back. Save him, save Leon.

She shuts her turquoise eyes, and puts her small hand up to the wall. It creaks open at her touch, doubt creeping into her mind. No, Heidi, you are Enlightened, you can do anything. She opens her eyes to see a tall man in chains, his body leaning over, to exhausted to even pick itself up. His eyes shut, his body covered in bruises and cuts, his head shaved.

“Leon!”

He lifts his head, “Heidi?”. Tears flow from her eyes, and she nods vigorously. She runs over to him and puts her hands to the chain, and they snap at the feel of her touch.

“Heidi,”

“It’s ok, Leon, I got you,” She smiled and gave him a huge hug, as if they haven’t seen each other for years. Well, they haven’t.

“Heidi,”

“Hush, now, I’m getting you out of this place,”

“No, Heidi, look at my leg,” He groaned and shuffled a bit so she can have a better view of his left leg. It was broken, the bone visible and covered in sticky blood. She jumped back, astounded, how was she going to get them both out of this mess? “Heidi, get away, save yourself,”

No, dumb dumb, I’m saving you too,” She sniffled, yet again trying to survive the onslaught of tears.

Well, it seems you’ve found him youself, hmm?”

Heidi spun around, startled, to see the person who she was forced to call ‘father’, “I suggest you leave,”

“Why would I leave, Kathy? It is my home”

“I am not Kathy, my name is Heidi. And unless you want something bad to happen to you, I suggest you leave, now,”

“Ha, no. Now, go back to your room and I might show you an ounce of mercy for disrespecting my rules, child,”

“I don’t abide by your rules, I am my own person. I am Enlightened. You didn’t want me learning my powers, did you? So you locked me up? Abducted Leon so I’d serve your every whim? It’s not going to work, I have him now, I’m leaving with him. Do not try and stop me” Her entire eyes turned ebony black, the pupil, the white, and yes even the retina.

Go.To.Your.Room.Woman.” He demanded.

“No,” She chuckled, she threw her hand at him, black energy flowing from her fingertips, “I told you to leave, it’s your own fault,” The entire room goes black, the light itself scurrying away from the demonic aura floating around Heidi.

“I am Heidi, and I am Enlightened. You are human, you are pathetic. Mortal, you do as I say,” She walked up to him, and placed her hand on his face, white ghostly air escaping through every crevices.

“And I say die,”

(well, that's probably the darkest thing I've ever written XD)
