Today is also the day we go to the zoo! I haven't been to a zoo since I was like, 6! And I'm 21! Well, I am 21 and I'm writing in a journal, but what the heck. Wait! I haven't introduced myself. I'm Ivory, an independent woman with a plan to take over the world become an expert with elephants =^-^=
Maybe when I'm dead this will be published
So you see I am quite the opportunist
Back to the point. ZOO! I looked up their website, and turns out they have an elephant exhibit! SQUEE!
>:D Haha you don't know why I haven't been to a zoo in so long do you? Allow me to entice you with my enchanting tales, where our hero, Ivory, faces off in a story of peril and suspense, topped with some delectable rrrrrromance.
I took a deep breath as I stepped off the school bus. Today was the day, the day I finally went to the zoo! I had a backpack on my back, filled with grass and hay. I had a plan today, and I was going to feed the giraffes! Pulling _______ by the paw, we trotted over to where the class was lined up. Grinning, I lined up and saluted jokingly. _______ snickered, and my teacher glared at me while trying to conceal a smile. She did a headcount, then handed out maps. Looking at the route she had drawn with a red marker, I saw the giraffe pen was near the restaurant we would eat at. I was so excited. As soon as she told us to follow her, I was off! _______ ran behind me, trying to keep up. We were right behind the teacher, chatting about animals and smells. ".. Turtles.." "Dolphins..." ".. Manure..?" "...Elephants.." I smiled.

Still jittery with excitement, I sat down when we got to the restaurant. The teacher called names and handed out bags of grilled cheese and Bologna sandwiches. I slipped away, sprinting to the giraffes. Of course, the elephants were next to them, and I had to stop. A young elephant cautiously walked over to the fence, and I bounced up and down. Pulling a handful of hay from my bag, I held it out. The elephant snuffled around with its trunk, then took the hay and shoved it in its mouth. Leaning on the "Do not feed the animals" sign, I became transfixed at the waving ears. I reached out far enough to rub the rough grey hide, and rub the small growing horns. I smiled tenderly, looking down at my necklace. Fake Ivory, elephant poaching enraged me. I kept feeding the great creature, staring into its large brown eyes. It snuffled happily, and grunted its pleasure. Out of hay, and out of time, I waved good bye to the elephant. Running back, I found _______ looking around frantically for me. Running up to _______, they heaved a sigh of relief. I sat down right as the teacher called my name, then ran up to grab my lunch.
