Iridium
Iridium may be called a 'crazy scientist' by some due to the fact he is very expressive, intelligent, imaginative and interested in experimentation. He enjoys trying out different forms of self-expression, through the way to talks to how his house looks. Due to this, it is not uncommon to see the entire of his house (or the exterior) being painted completely different from before. However the only room he never touches in any form is his laboratory, where he performs all his experimentation's. Due to his expressive nature, it also tends to come with him being imaginative which helps in his work as he may think of something that others may not of thought of, and may try it out. However, not all his experiments go right and many do tend to have...side-effects. For example completely destroying your eyesight or somehow forcing a shadow and a doll to share a body, no one knows how this happened but Iridium quickly burnt all evidence of this and destroyed whatever caused this while leaving a single note to himself saying 'Do not put the corn in the time machine' as a warning. Yeah, we don't understand that either considering he has no time machine and hates corn.
Apart from this, Iridium is a choice mute and often only communicates through sounds and rarely words. Many theorize it is due to him being 'mad', but there has been no evidence proving he is mad. However what is strange is that his form of communication seems to be an entirely different language, as each sound he makes actually links to a word and has it's own 'sentence structure' like most languages.
Gytrash
Gytrash is a stubborn girl who most of the time, refuses to do things unless it suits her. She is quick to judge someone and if she feels they may be a threat to absent-minded Iridium, she may attack them or chase them away. She is hesitant to be around those Iridium considers friends, as she gets insanely jealous that Iridium pays attention to them and at times, she may on purposely keep begging Iridium for them to go home. Apart from this, she has a soft spot for animals and gardening and she is often seen growing plants in the garden when Iridium is down in his labratory. However she grows large amounts of flammable plants, and she enjoys stuffing them into spare clothes to make them look like certain dolls, and then burn them. A sadistic way for her to feel happy.
Gytrash is one of the few living things who can actually understand Iridium, due to how he talks, and at times she may even communicate to him in the same way to make him feel less left out due to everyone speaking the same way. In fact, Gytrash has become so 'fluent' in Iridium's strange communication that she can now talk to him about the weather in it as she can sub-consciously pair certain noises to different words. Gytrash often compares Iridium's form of communication to singing.

History
Iridium had a bit of an upsetting past. But first, allow me to start from the beginning. Iridium was handcrafted by a man as a gift to his niece. He was designed after her interests, and her favorite colour. Green. The girl had a large interest in sciences, more specifically chemistry, and when she received this doll she was ecstatic. She grew to love Iridium and would always keep him on her desk, chatting to him as she did her homework. Years passed and the girl turned 36, still owning her precious doll who she brought everywhere with her. The girl had succeeded in life, becoming a teacher while she had a doctors degree in science. However, one day she was doing a demonstration for her class but it went wrong. A group of boys began messing about and accidentally mixed some very flammable chemicals together by spilling them over an electric socket, also breaking a gas tap in the process causing had to begin pouring out. The girl attempted to get the children out of the class and hit the 'off' switch for the supply of gas to the room, however she was to late. The electric socket sparked, causing the chemicals covering it to burst into toxic flames and cause the gas to being burning. 4 students and the girl died, the rest of the 14 students miraculously survived.
Iridium was then left alone in her house, where she left him on her desk. Never moving, never blinking. Eventually, the old uncle of the girl came to the house and picked Iridium up. He left the house and took the doll to a graveyard before placing him next to the girl's grave. The uncle knew how much she loved that doll, and thought she shouldn't even be parted from him even in death...
Weeks passed and Iridium began to be covered in dirt and grime, due to being left at the mercy of nature. However, one night, a strange dog approached the doll. The dog called itself Gytrash, and she said she could bring Iridium alive so he may live out his life, in memory of the girl. But the only condition was to be that they never parted, and were friends forever. Iridium agreed, and soon found he was able to move.
Iridium and Gytrash then left the graveyard, traveling to the place known as the 'Doll House' where they would live their lives anew. Though Iridium still grieves the death of his dear friend, he lives his life for her. Hoping one day, he can bring her back to life with the very thing she loved. Science...
