Chapter 0 - Introduction?
Chapter 1 - The Quest for Soulrise

You ready for a new not-diary? Okay, 3, 2, 1 - GO!

New not-diary Lisa (aka my owner)? Okay then.

Dear- Oh great, I don't know what to call this. I'm called Torane, but my nickname is Rane. I'm a half-dead, PPS dog who's going to some type of undercover, magical boarding school. It's a long story, you should read my friend's diary to find out the secrets. I'm not spilling out all my secrets on my own object.

Anyways, my picture, with my dressup, is up there. I have no actual family - I'm an orphan. I do have some friends though, but I won't be writing any entries with them. Don't ask why.



This is Tourmaline, also known to me as Gem. She's a bit crazy, though I have no idea whether that's how most commons and under are supposed to act. All I know is, she's my best friend and will probably be stalking this 24/7 when she finds it. Not the best choice for a best friend, but decent.



This is Night, a wise old 'Moonjewel' that is, in a way, my foster sister. She has control of the moon, and powers based around anything lunar. She's overprotective sometimes, however, she does listen to me. Unlike the majority of pets I used to live with.



This is Celosia. "A former she-warrior," she claims. Quite good at fighting, from what I know. Her powers don't help too much with arcane magic, but it does boost her fighting ability substantially.


This is Summer Redstone Frost, also known online as Sunshine_Snow. She's an author of the Redstone series, which has gotten quite a lot of viewers since it started. She is completely obsessed with Minecraft, and hasn't mentioned me in any of her blocks, since I consider it a normal game. I don't really meet with her much, I guess.

Well, that's all I have time for. I need to get to school and unpack. I'm going to actually try and be punctual on the first day.

Why do I- Or better, why will I put selfies of myself at the top of every entry, you ask? Well, it seems to be a trend with not-diary writers. And it's much easier so you don't forget what the protagonist looks like. I will explain a bit now.

This is a special not-diary. The morning before I left my previous house, I got my friend to soul-lock my diary. That means my- mysterious book, will steal the soul of anyone who tries to get into it. I doubt that'll happen, since it also zaps anyone who gets too close to it. Slightly less useful since I upload these on the CS forums as well, so anyone could read them. I just don't want populars breaking into my privacy.

Right, that reminds me - the sorting. The school has the following ranks:

Slightly different to the average school, but that's because Auna, a pound pet, and sitting cat, was previously a cheerleader, and when the last 'Queen Bee' left the school, she was elected for the next one. She changed the whole thing. I have no idea why cheerleaders are allowed to run for Queen Bee, but I guess this school has its confusing ways.



Well, I guess I need to make an exception for my own owner's pets. Name and interests?

I casually walked over to the outcast hall, and opened the door which lead to what I was supposed to be my dorm. I saw two dogs jump in surprise.



OH MY GOSH - MAGIEA! INTRUDER!
Geez! Calm down. She's probably our new roommate.
Yep. Magiea and Solar, from what I remember? Two of Lisa's first self-adopted pets?
Creepy. But yeah, we're Solar and Magiea. Our friend Citrina is in the shower.
I am silent for a few seconds. It's midday.
I'm not sure why she showers at lunchtime either. But I know I would if she wasn't here- the food here is horrible, so we saved up enough for a panini maker, and hide it in our room.
Clever. Just don't let me use it, I would probably burn down the school.
Lol! I prob could, but na. It's fun with the magical adventures here!
She's right, it is. You'll see soon. Anyways, we're lucky enough to get a huge dorm - there are sliding doors, two normal beds, and one bunk bed on opposite sides of the room, as you can see, a tiny kitchen, wardrobes and cupboards, a balcony, two bathrooms, and other stuff.
Wow - this room is more of a hotel rather than a dorm.
I know right? I even pretend to be room service sometimes!
I should get my books ready for lessons. Don't touch my unidentified object - it shoots a bolt at your face.

Yes, I know Magiea and Solar said the food was horrible. I have to try it, it's a lingering trait of mine I can't seem to shake off. I suppose it's nothing bad, though it may seem a bit rude to some people. I whipped out my lunch card and wrote down the details.

Power- mutations? What's that? And I'm wondering what mine is. I chewed down the rest of the rice and curry, forcing myself not to gag. It wouldn't matter if I did though, this really is disgusting. The bell rang, signalling the end of lunchtime. I must have been really late. I picked up my books and ran off to the next lesson.

I am Tori, the teacher for Dark Magic Physical Education. I shall be teaching you basic battle moves today.

Another pet from my owner? Her pets must be really smart. She then went into an extremely boring stance of explaining moves meant for unknown rarities. I guess she did mention they were basic moves. Celosia would have done much better. Ugh. Gem was right - why do I need to go to school when I'm already so smart? Not trying to boast, but you have to admit, I am.

Now, Torane. Would you like to battle me?
Oh- Um, sure.

I leapt into the basic battle stance I usually used, unlike the awkward move Tori had used. It was traditional, sure, but I felt completely uncomfortable using it. Like a caterpillar trying to fly. She then looked at me, but leapt to the side. I didn't flinch, and teleported a metre away (Yes, I use metric conversions.). She then pounced onto me.

That was a good try, but-
I flung her clean off me, to the amazement of many boys.
Very impressive, Rane! I would not expect most of my students to have either the strength or wit to use that move, and most have no idea what it is! Where did you learn it?
I teach myself. I don't even know why I'm in this school, being so smart.
I assure you, you are here for a good reason. For now, I need to write a PM to your.. Foster sister?
I guess Night's the only person you can send it to, who will take it like a parent. I looked up as the bell rang.

That was the end of the day, though I found Auna organizing another pupil.

I waved as she disappeared into her room. I went to my dorm too for a rest, trying to ignore Solar's audible breathing. I can't imagine what her snore sounds like. But something weird was on my mind. Everything said something bad would happen. I couldn't sleep. And tomorrow was a weekend after all...

Personality: Mystique's the kind of cat who spends most of her time watching the action, refusing to take part or get caught in the mess. She has an inherent grace to her, and a natural aura of feminity - but don't take her as weak. When needed, she's more than capable of getting her very brutal revenge on those she hates, whether blackmail or just a fight. She's very persuasive; give her enough time with someone and she'll probably manage to convince them that they were actually a fruit, forced into the shape of a dog after they double-crossed the wrong wizard.
Likes: Debates. Does fate exist? Should people have the right to bear arms? She'll jump into most arguments just for the fun of it, no matter how ridiculous. She has a hobby of collecting things - butterflies, stamps, yearbooks - whether or not she needs them.

Honestly, there wasn't too much outside. Just a graveyard. Though I did find something interesting, when I was about to leave. There was a lunch card on the ground.

At that point, I didn't know what to do, so I headed back inside, only to find a bunch of people standing outside looking over someone. Here were the people:

I was going to the canteen to see if they had any midnight snacks, and they were all out, so I came back and found these people screaming at a dead pet.

That's the problem. We all came in at the same time. Somehow. Apart from her. She pointed at Dalikatia.
I'll look into this in the morning. For now we better get to our dorms, or the teachers will suspect something. Magiea, Solar - hide Citrina.

Hmm. Murder mystery. Better send a mind message to Gem and the others to see if they want to help. Aka, 'visit'.
