♦ Eternal Witch ♦

So, this story is based off two characters I created in an old Rp I made with a friend. I helped them make the roleplay back when I hadn't been on CS for that long and my roleplaying experience was pretty weak. So while that thread didn't go anywhere and I felt lost it seemed these two characters had really good back stories that I never got to tell since I didn't want to fill my posts with useless flashbacks that distracted from the plot. But they've stuck in my head and I feel they should be told.

Now that I'm done waisting your time with back story I would please ask that you don't post on this thread. However, feel free to pm to discuss something, make a suggestion, critique, or just say hello. Other than that, let's precide to the story, shall we?

♦ 1 : Transient Human♦

Meet Aliciarina White, better known as Alice or General White. A young girl who should have her whole life ahead of her. At only thirteen surely the world holds a bright future for her with glowing possibilities uopn the horizon. Well if those are your thoughts then perhaps you're gazing at a horizon far different from hers. For the only thing in her future is fighting, not that it would bother her. It's all she's ever known and to this young blonde's knowledge, the only thing she will ever know. Her world had been thrown into war long before she was born and so she fought for someone else's reasons and an old motivation that somehow had avoided the staleness that a decade or two can cause.
And although her future may not be bright she seemed like pristine ivory in compairison. Her skin fair, although scared from battle. Her hair a platnumn that fraimed her features down to her upper arms. Her face, although serious, quitr lovely and adorned with dark green eyes. And despite her gender it was clear she was in no way weak. One could see she was strong but in a way she seemed as though she could still dance gracefully if she had music. Overall she was not exactly how you would picture a general.
But that was exactly what she was and she did her job well. The Eternal war had thrown many things at the young mortal but she still lived and so did a large portion of her army. The Transients, that's what they called themselves. She and her group were all human fighting against the inhuman and magical that fought against them, wanting to take power over the world as they viewed rightfully theirs. And of course her side veiwed otherwise. She didn't always agree with it but it seemed one side or the other would give eventually and it would be over, or so they hoped.
But the war had dragged on, and although Alice hadn't been around for all of it she felt its effects and began to wonder if it was truly worth the trouble and the loss. And those were the thoughts than ran through her head most nights, and food an unexplained reason, especially that night. It had reached a point where he mind refused to rest due to the corsing river of thoughts that trapped her like barbed wire cuffs. Unable to rest she wandered her camp in thought. Why was she doing this? What purpose did she truly serve? What was so bad about having a mystic in power? Couldn't they at least compromise to save lives? She didn't know.
But as fate would have it she would get more answers than she probably ever wanted. In her mindless, thought filled wanderings she was approched by a messenger who had handed her a parcile meant for the higher ups of the army. She knew she was not to open it but to handed on to who it was meant for. But something felt as if, just this once and only this once asshe told herself, she should open it. Heading to a spot less visible, the young general slid open the package and read the letters inside before seeing its contents. And it shocked her, she had all her answers and she didn't like them, she quickly closed it but didn't pass it on, she stored it in her room and tried to show no fear. She had the answers but now she had new questions. It was clear she wouldn't be sleeping that night.

♦ 2 : Heart felt General ♦

General White was shaken up. No, that's not right. Her whole world was shaken. Torn apart and thrown around by a great, shocking earthquake and then hit by a gigantic whirlwind of emotions that she didn't know she was capable of having. For once in her short life she felt horribly sorry for those on the other side of the war and she hated what she was doing. She despised it, and even further it made her sick to think on what it was they wanted her to do next. She didn't want to go through with it, no she couldn't go through with it and she wouldn't. That's the decision she had reached by sun rise.
So as the bright morning star began to rise so did her army. And so she pretended as if she had just done the same before heading to het superiors. Although Alice was a general there were still three that were in higher comand over her and the particular army they ran didn't follow normal ranks. In their ranks there were several generals and each lead an army. It wasn't exactly how things were supposed to be run but they made do with it.
As she entered her superiors office she tried to stiffle her fears and focus on facts, pathetic childish behavior would get her no where.
"Sirs, I can't do this." she said, not knowing how else to start speaking.
"What on earth do you mean White?" one asked
"This is what I mean." she said as she set the box on the table.
"You weren't supposed to open that."
"I don't care, I'm not following through. Those people are innocent, I can't just lead my army in there so I can kill normal people with that, thing."
"You can and you will. They're freaks just like the rest of them. No harm done."
"No harm done?! Can you hear yourself? They didn't attack us and I. Am. Not. Hurting. A. Town. Of. Innocents. They're not monsters, but if we attack them then that's what wee are. Monsters." she growled. She didn't wait to hear the response. She left the box filled with poison on the table and walked out with another another word.
She felt justified in what she had done, and perhaps she was, I suppose I'll let you be the judge of that. But she couldn't have known the true consequences of her actions and how horribly they would affect her.
