20lαιт1'ѕ CS Peт Wrιтιɴɢ Cнαlleɴɢe Eɴтrιeѕ

I've decided to participate in skemma04's CS Pet Writing Challenge. I might be active on this, might not, as I do have a diary to run. Please don't post here as I would like this to be neat. I'll probably be editing my former entries a lot to improve the coding and such.

Anubis Darkfeather || Link || Stole My Heart

Reckless, stubborn and a little boastful, Anubis is named after the Egyptian God of Funerals, mainly because his parents are obsessed with Egypt and its mythology. Anubis himself dislikes Egyptian mythology and pretty much anything with a lot of writing or reading in it. Anubis is quite sweet, however, with a hidden, softer side, and stutters a lot if flustered.

Sharon Rose || Link || Stole My Heart

Quiet, shy and sensitive, Sharon is a sweet, caring girl. However, she's quite a 'scaredy cat' - jumping at every noise, but she's honest, trusting and loyal.

Image
Celebane || Link || Running out of Love

An immortal dog who controls the power of happiness, he would help any mortal if he could. He has the gift of prophecy.

Image
Lunabane || Link || Running out of Love

An immortal dog who controls the power of love, she is sister to Celebane and restored him with her love. She is quiet, but wise.

Stole My Heart

Stole My Heart

I'd much rather be at home playing video games. Anubis thought, rolling his eyes. He had been sitting on a bench for hours, watching the sun slowly crawl down towards the horizon. Looking at an Egyptian museum? Anubis rolled his eyes. Boring! He sighed and leaned back, fiddling with the fur on his paws. A couple of hours ago, the museum had closed and nearly all the dogs who were visiting had gone - except for him. He could hear the whine of mosquitoes at his ears - he tried batting them away but when they insisted on staying there, he decided to ignore them and close his eyes. All my friends already are proper couples... Except for me. Anubis sighed. He had his eye on a girl at his school for ages - however, she was quite popular and already two boys were planning to take her to the dance. I won't have a chance. Anubis shifted in his seat, stretching out his dark, feathery wings. Long, glossy, sky blue hair, with a lavender rose pinned by her ear... Jet black fur and - He was shocked out of his trance when a quiet voice asked him, "May I sit here?" Anubis didn't bother to look, muttering, "Yeah, sure." he shifted over to the side as a female dog settled down beside him. Anubis frowned. She looks familiar. he thought, turning his head a little to get a closer look - SHARON?!

Sharon noticed him staring and Anubis quickly looked away, blushing. Come on, brain, what can I say, what can I - "What are you doing out here, with the museum closed and all?" she asked, giving him that small but cute smile of hers that made him nearly melt onto the bench. Just at that moment, the streetlamps flicked on, bathing Sharon's snout with a warm glow. Anubis's eyes widened in surprise as the light reflected those dark, but warm golden eyes. She looked even more dazzling in the light, her dark fur seeming to glow, her small, feathery wings bright with color. Her sleek blue hair seemed shine even more in the light, and Anubis was speechless for a moment, but to him it seemed like eternity. "I asked you, what are you doing out here when the museum's closed?" she asked again. Anubis could feel that rose pink blush rising through his fur and he quickly turned his head away. "I - um - I was just sitting here..." Sharon smiled again. "I see... Are you comfortable with sitting so close with... a girl?" Anubis nearly screamed, Comfortable?! It feels so good to be sitting next to YOU! Yes, just you! Instead, he just bobbed his head in an awkward nod. Sharon glanced up at the sky and sighed. "It's getting late. Well, see you at school!" Sharon got up and padded off, leaving Anubis staring after her, speechless.

Running Out of Love

Running out of Love
((Idea gotten from this post that I came across))

Image

Celebane stared down at the poor, brave adventurers. So brave, so determined. But fate had sealed the doors - they would fail. Celebane had seen it with his gift of prophecy. It was more of a curse, though... Knowing everything but helpless to stop it. The one time that he had tried to intervene, Starbane, his 'leader', had shattered a hole in his delicate, glass fur. The once bright, orange liquid that filled him was slowly running out of the cracks, and Starbane had warned him - if he tried to intervene with destiny again, he would make more than tiny cracks.

You see, the orange liquid that was trickling out of him right now contained happiness, life. When it was gone, all that would be left was an empty husk - a broken, empty glass bottle. And with every drop that trickled out, life down below for the mortals would slowly lose its happiness, life, then finally, the world would exist for no reason. Celebane admired the brave souls below, and when he was born he was granted the gift of prophecy. He thought that he was granted this because he could help. But he was wrong.

Now, sitting there, on a cloud, all alone - Celebane stared sorrowfully at the heroes. Another warm drop of his honey-like liquid slid down his glassy hide and spilled around his paws. "I wish I could help you..." he whispered, feeling his heart twist as he watched one of the heroes fall. To never come home. "I don't want this to happen." He glanced up at the sky, hoping to see a miracle fly down, but nothing happened. That was his destiny - to stand still, to reduce the amount of liquid trickling out as much as possible, and watch.

His grey eyes filled with tears as he watched them mourn their fallen teammate. It was like reading a too-realistic adventure story, but this was real. With death and pain. And no happy ending. He sat quietly, mourning their loss too. Then there was a noise behind him.

He tried not to move as his eyes strained to look behind him. He saw a dog - his sister, Lunabane. He hadn't seen her in a long time because of their duties - but now, Lunabane hovered in front of him, her clear white eyes watching him. "You want to help them." It was a statement, not a question. Lunabane glanced down at the mortal heroes, her blue hair dancing in the wind. "Yes." whispered Celebane, wincing as he felt another drop trickle out of the hole.

Lunabane watched him for a moment. "Celebane, I've discovered my power. My gift." she finally said, landing on his cloud. Celebane looked up at her and smiled - he hadn't made this expression in a long time. "You always wanted for your gift to come, did you?" he asked, trying to remember the happy times when they hadn't discovered their powers yet, when they played on the clouds and learned from Starbane.

"Yes... but to discover it now..." She smiled. It was more a ghost of a smile, but Celebane didn't mind. He smiled back, memories returning - but suddenly all the happy memories were gone as he leaned forwards, wanting to hug her. There was a splash as more liquid trickled out - suddenly he felt despair clawing away at him again.

"Celebane... I have the gift of love." she said, reaching out a paw towards him. "Love..." Celebane whispered. The word felt strange on his tongue, somehow. It didn't seem to match with him or his sister. "Brother... All you need is love." Then Lunabane leaned forwards and hugged him, one of her paws touching the crack in his chest. Warmth filled his chest, and suddenly he hardly cared about the cracks anymore. He smiled and hugged her tightly.

"Oh, Celebane..." His sister whispered, smiling as she stepped back. He suddenly remembered the cracks and gasped, looking down. Most of the liquid had spilled and only a few drops were left. "Lunabane... what did I do?" he asked, his eyes filling with tears. "No, Celebane... you didn't do anything. You will... But remember, brother. I love you."

When she spoke, suddenly he felt himself being mended. The cracks healed before his eyes, and his dull, brown-orange hair shone to life, sparkling like the stars. He felt the liquid around his paws being drained and refilling him, sending bursts of happiness through him.

"Go help them." Lunabane whispered, smiling at him. Celebane stretched, feeling nothing pour out of him, and nearly laughed with joy. "Thank you!" he called to Lunabane, leaping off his cloud and soaring down towards the adventurers. His glowing wings beat at the air and he dived down into the chasm the hero had fallen into. He heard gasps of surprise from the heroes he had been watching - he was now the one being watched.

He shot downwards, glowing with light, and reached out. He felt his paw clasp onto a smaller paw and he yanked upwards, flying up. He suddenly flew up into the sunlight that previously hadn't been there and put the shivering dog beside the adventurers. "Th - thank you!" she cried, looking up at him, eyes wide. "Thank you, Celebane!"

The mortals bowed, and Celebane leaned down to touch each on the head. He could feel his energy being shared with them, filling them with renewed determination. "You will survive." he whispered, the new destiny unfolding in his head. Starbane, hear me. I will not let poor mortals suffer like this anymore, and you can't stop me - because of the power of love.
