████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████The world has gone insane,
And parasites are eating at my brain!
The slow tune of the song filled Henry's mind as he collapsed against the wall without regard for decorum or dignity. Long had he abandoned such concepts, and unless they would help to right the world, he did not care. His glasses slid down his snout, but he paid no mind; a thick crack ran across each lense, meaning that even with them, he was unable to see.
A scream pierced the silence somewhere in the distance, but he ignored it. Such things had become commonplace, and even if they were not, his self-pity was far too deep to be concerned.
And nothing is the way it was before-
A pack of wolves is howling at my door!
Had he been in a better condition, the irony of the lyrics may have occurred to him. In his current one, he was nearly unable to think of anything apart from the broken state of the world. Indeed, everything he knew had been challenged and torn to pieces in front of him. The tyrant was insane, without doubt, but she was powerful. With no more than her will and a wave of her paw, she could very well change the laws of physics. That was quite possibly what he hated most about her.
And he hated a
lot about her.
I’m living in a non-stop nightmare!
Dead men’s dreams!
Filled with screaming pain!
Hurling me to mad extremes
In a world that's gone insane!
Forcing himself from the wall, Henry tried to look around, but his vision was blurry and he found, to his surprise, that he had been crying. The display of weakness annoyed him. With a scowl, he raised a paw, then slammed it into the ground, feeling some small level of satisfaction at the gesture. It quickly vanished, however, as he noticed the marble cracking. His paw was never that strong.
A snarl rose from his throat, fading into a whimper as he realised the hopelessness of his situation. He could do nothing, not unless he were to suddenly gain powers rivaling that of the most powerful being on the planet.
The world has lost its head!
And every evil hour is filled with dread!
Once again, he slumped against the wall, shutting his eyes in an attempt to stop the onslaught of tears that threatened to overtake him. And for the first time in several decades, he gave up.
I cannot speak as
Nameless ghosts and faceless ghouls
Bid me join the dead!
In the absence of real thought, he heard the sound of laughing, slowly approaching him.
No one tells these gruesome fools
That the world has lost its head!

A/N: you know, before this, the most serious thing I'd written included a 'liek dis if u cri evrytiem' joke. I guess I've kinda raised the bar... Also, writing pro tip: make stuff painfully vague and you'll magically become a good writer! :D
