Hi! My name is Sydney Dolph. This is my.. uh.. well, diary doesn't sound sophisticated. I guess I'll call it a journal. Anyway, I'm not a normal girl. In fact, I'm a child prodigy! I can speak five different languages! I can make complicated math problems! Since I'm this smart, you would think that I go to a really fancy school, right? Wrong. So very wrong. In fact, I used to go to a private school. But now, my parents are transferring me to public school! I'm so afraid. I heard that there are "rank" there. Like, you know, "jocks" and "nerds". It's all stupid to me. Also, I might as well introduce you to my family:

This is my brother, Drake Dolph. He never takes anything seriously! I hate it. Drake loves to prank me, too. One time, he glued my favorite book shut!

My Mother wrote:Image
This is Sunni Dolph, AKA my mother. She is really gentle and never yells.

And this is my dad, Julius Dolph. He's also really gentle but he can be really strict.

Chapter One: On The Bus

I woke with a jolt. I muttered and groaned as my persistent mother rolled me off my bed. "Mmmooom.." I complained. "Sweetie," she cooed. "First day of school!" I jumped out of bed and ate breakfast as fast as I could. Grabbing my backpack, I rushed out the door. When the bus finally showed up at the curb, I was freezing. I stepped into it and sat down. Next to me, I heard a quiet whisper: "H-hi."

I turned to the voice and saw a lion-like cat. Or, was it a very small lioness? Well, whatever. "Hi." I responded. "I'm Sydney. Nice to meet you." The cat shifted her paws nervously. "Cool. I'm Seattle." She said, a little louder. After a few awkward minutes of silence, I asked her: "So, do you know anything about the school?" Seattle shook her head. "All I know is that it's rather cliché." I said with a shrug. "Yo no incluso saber nunca más." I muttered. That means "I don't even know anymore." In Spanish. For a moment, I thought I saw shock in Seattle's face. Then, much to my surprise she said: "Usted lata hablar Spanish?" Which means "You can speak Spanish?" I nodded and grinned. "That's so cool!" She exclaimed. "Oh, I can do a lot more than speak Spanish." I laughed. I think I found a friend!

Chapter Two: The Organizer

While we were on the bus, I eventaully explained I was a prodigy. Then, she became all excited and made me say a bunch of stuff in different languages. Anyway, when we got there, we both had a feeling of dread. "Here we go, then." I muttered, and Seattle could only nod. As we stepped out, there was crowds of people. I identified each: Nerds, Jocks, the "Populars". Upon reaching the door, it was flung open by a girl.

"Hi!" She said in her annoyingly high pitched voice. "I'm Persephone!" Seattle and me exchanged a glance. Persephone examined us. "Oh my gosh," She pointed to my blue sweater. "That is so last month!" My moth moved, but no words came. Thinking of something, I said: "But.. aren't you wearing a sweater?" She laughed. "Newbies! Blue sweaters are just not pretty." Persephone's eyes rested on Seattle. "Get me away! You have zero taste in fashion!" She sighed. "OUTCASTS!" She pointed a finger to a table with two others. "But-" Seattle tried to argue, but we were nudged pushed over.

Chapter Three: Let's Have An Adventure!

School went by quickly. It mostly consisted of the two other outcasts, Garrett and Wendy, showing us around.

Anyway, I can't stand Wendy. She is like a girl version of my brother! She never takes anything seriously and is always surrounded by balloons and pluhies. Ugh. It's really annoying. For example, I was reading a book and she sat next to me and kept talking in my ear. But, Garrett is nice. He's quiet, but no too much. After school, I read, wrote, and sketched in my notebook. That serenity didn't last long.

At 1:00 in the morning, I was being nudged off the bed. I opened my eyes and saw, of all people, Seattle. She stood next to bed beaming. "Seattle!" I whisper-yelled. "How do you know where I live?" She didn't answer. But, she did say something: "We're going adventuring!" And as I looked out the window, I saw two others: Garrett and Wendy. I groaned. Well, let's go cause some trouble.
